IF CLG or Dig lose I won't be watching as much LCS. Hell, this season I only tuned into it if Clg/dig/crs/tsm were playing, I didn't give a shit if it was MRN vs GGU or whatever. Sure, GGU did very well last season so maybe I'll check out more of their games this season.

So far, I didn't watch most of the Quantic games so I don't know anything about them. I'm also kind of bummed Marn lost because Megazero and Nien were fun and I liked watching Ecco because he sometimes played different champs. Velocity could be fun to watch because they showed they can pull out some interesting strats, but they still played overall in that series like shit, so unless they improve a lot more I don't see them doing that well.

Yeah I hear you a bit on the Dig/CLG part. I really really doubt Dignitas will lose to team summon, but I was skeptical of MRN losing and was surprised there. Still, I think VES > Team Summon and Dig is way better than MRN ever was, so in a best of five dignitas *should* win it. Also have confidence in CLG, but that game is a little less certain. Still think they pull it out 3-1 though. Also, you may want to look up the VOD's, Quantic was dominant in all their games, it was pretty impressive how much they shut down their opponents (longest game was like 27 minutes iirc). Never lost a match, their jungler meteos ended up with a 45 KDA (lol).

I hope Dig and CLG lose, I hate both teams. Scarra/Crumbs are annoying as fuck, Doublelift thinks he's god's gift to LoL. Imaqtpie's face makes me puke a little in my mouth every time I see it. I'd rather MRN/GGU take their spots and we never hear from them again. Seriously.

I am sorta with Gadrel on this one. I could give a shit if CLG/DIG go away. At the end of it all if they are kicked out, then they deserve to be kicked out because they aren't as good as they say they are if a upcoming team unseats them. The 2 teams I liked the most stayed in so I am good. Also, after the showing Quantic put up, i am very interested to see what they do.

I was just thinking as well, imagine if Dig/CLG get kicked out....boy does that make the All-star teams lulz then. So much for being the top of NA.

Crumbz just re-introduced Rammus to NA. Prepare your SoloQ. (Yes, I know he's a big pick in Korea).

I urge anyone who didn't watch the Quantic games to go watch the VODs. Each game was an impressive showing of just how much better Quantic was than their opponents.

Sign ups start next weekend. If more than 128 teams enter than it comes down to being randomly selected.

Teams will be chosen randomly to avoid camping the "Send Email" button as soon as sign-ups open. Once registration closes, we will generate our list and inform the teams in the top 128 that they will be participating in the event. The list will also be posted on the Tournament Page.

To accommodate the significant increase of teams able to since up for this tournament from our last event, we will be introducing our Qualifier Rounds. There will be 4 Qualifier Rounds in which teams are given the means to contact their opposing team and independantly schedule their Best of 1 game. More information about this regarding means of contact and how to report a win can be found on the Tournament Page.
Sign-ups OPEN on Saturday, May 18th @ 8pm PST / 11pm EST and CLOSE on Wednesday, May22nd @ 8pm PST / 11pm EST. We will be selecting the 128 teams at random for the Ionian Circuit.
To accommodate the significant increase of teams able to sign up for this tournament, we will be introducing the ?Qualifier Round? period. The first Qualifier Round will be 2 weeks with 64 independently scheduled games.

Each session consists of a best of 1 game against two teams that were matched against each other by Tournament Organizers. You receive your opponent's information via your Person of Contact's email.

There will be 4 Qualifier Rounds, the ones coming after the 1st Round will be scheduled for a 1 week duration rather than 2 weeks.

Because of the sheer amount of teams and players expected in the Qualifier Rounds, we cannot individually schedule each match. Therefore once we provide the contact information of the team you are matched against, it will be both the teams? responsibility to schedule their own match within the allotted period of time. The Team Name, Person of Contact and Roster will be released to teams via their email so that you may schedule the tournament game at a time that?s convenient.

We highly encourage teams (to the point of almost making it mandatory) to keep records/screenshots of their correspondences with their scheduled opponents. In the event that the other team does not cooperate or does not show up at the time agreed upon, send us the correspondence history and we will make a decision with the evidence to automatically advance a team.
1st Qualifier Round (2 weeks) - 64 games
Begins on Saturday, May 25th @ 12am PST / 3am EST
Ends on Saturday, June 8th @ 12am PST / 3am EST

If you guys need a support, I will gladly fill in over some random that day. Just lmk in advance.

So I picked up Noct and I've learned you can cast Q during his ult, and when your ult connects after that lands, it receives the damage bonus. Not sure if that was known by all but the burst is noticable and quite filthy.

I'm finding good old fashioned armor pen to work out better on average than attack speed in jungles... at least if you're running a "strong" jungler.

Life steal quints just aren't as strong as many are trying to say, flat AD is win for jungle and of course the all important and often game changing lvl 3 gank.

On that note, I wonder how many of these builds I read are just a ruse from building correctly by top players.. with according upvotes by people who just upvote because they managed a win with it. Is there a better math site than what I've read on the Riot boards? Because, like I've said about armor pen, armor gives diminishing returns, so the closer to push someone back as they are close to 0... the better and rarely do I see people building hardcore armor anymore.

All these guides are spouting some "go attack speed" shit and... I gotta say its just wrong in my experience and what I see in the math (if the math I have is right).

Talked to a few pals and I can't argue with 3 flat ADs (red), rest armor pen for him. Flat AD quint, flat armor yellow (duh) and attack speed blue.

this 4 pts for a win in Silver 1 is annoying as hell. its gonna take forever to get to series. What is the reasoning for that again? Couldn't instead of fluxing by mid 20's in the lower leagues go by 10 or so and have it be consistent through out the league?

If you think the guides are bullshit you can always check out probuilds.net. It actually pulls their in game rune/mastery page they were using at the time as well as telling you what order they leveled their skills and built their items.

Guides are generally a good starting point but aren't the end all be all. For example, lolking has a decent Kayle mid guide. However my general build is quite different from their top rated mid guide. Where the guide advises to rush Liandri's I prefer to rush a Lichbane after Haunting Guise. The reason I do this is because Kayle is rather bursty and Lichbane really helps with that and has more of an early game impact than Liandri's I feel.

I cannot believe how much this question still comes up. ELO still exists, they just hid it from you. The LP you gain or lose is based 100% on your now hidden ELO. If your ELO is below the league you are in, you gain less LP, sometimes as low as 1 per game, until your ELO catches up to the league you are in.

This was addressed on reddit partially,

Greetings Summoner,

Thank you for contacting us! This issue, called "clamping," usually occurs around the last fifty points of Division 1.

When you enter a ranked game, you are matched with teammates and opponents based on your matchmaking rating (what used to be called Elo). It is expected that your matchmaking rating is about equal to other players in your League. If for some reason your matchmaking rating is below what is expected in your League, you will see League Point gains come much more slowly as you approach your Division 1 Series. If your matchmaking rating is especially low, it is possible to earn zero League Points for a victory as well as lose more League Points from a loss than is gained from a win.

Because League placement is now permanent, we have designed the system to ensure that a player's matchmaking rating is high enough to make certain that you can consistently play at the level of the next tier. As long as you continue to win more than you lose, your League Point gain will even out and you'll reach the Promotion Series.

I hope this has provided a little context on our intention with the new League system. We are currently examining the results of this system to explore potential improvements, so this may change in the future. If you have any more questions about the new League system, please don't hesitate to ask. You can also check out our League System FAQ here:https://support.leagueoflegends.com/...Q-Ranked-Play-
fromhttp://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflege...k_its_safe_to/

So yeah, your MMR is probably low/around div 1 so it's taking longer. I didn't have clamping issues at all when getting to my division 1 series. Anecdotal evidence and all that, but since you can't actually lose Gold/silver/diamond whatever, if you're around that bracket it always seemed to me the game making sure you actually deserve to be there, and didn't go on a lucky win streak /shrug. Not directed at you personally, but that's always the way i've seen it.
