eh?Re:MMR
Grouped with some higher ranked people and it looks like a pulled a lot of them down even lower. Lulz.
MMR is further complicated by the fact that Normal MMR and Ranked MMR are tracked separately, so there's a lot of Platinum-Diamond players that have the ELO of Silver players in Normals since they never play them.I was almost joking when I said that about MMR, I was playing with Eidal (Gold 3 I think) and my brother in law and we were matched up against a team that had all unranked and low games won (sub 100) except for one Silver IV while on my team was me (level 16) and all levels 30s, with 3x Unranked and two Golds.
Just looked odd to me.
Also, fucking last 3 games I played was against duo-top lane. Makes proxy farming hard since my tower is always pushed. I've usually gotten ahead though once the jungler is able to add pressure.
On Tryn:
Thanks for the advice. I really love the top builds where you can split push and put pressure on the map to keep the jungler on his toes. I enjoy that playstyle. Toss on the fact that Tryn can kill people, it makes it fun.
I can't wait until 20 so I can actually start using runes. Right now I've ignored runes to save IP for Tier 3. I guess I could grind ARAM for 20 but I don't have a lot of free time to solo q ARAM just for leveling sake. I have fun regardless right now so I'm not worried about it.
too grainy, here's the originalHow about some Teemo!
I plan to test this theory soon. I'm pretty damn convinced I'll win 80 percent of games in bronze, going to start playing ranked on one of my bronze friends accounts soon and I'll keep a log of how it goes and my perception of carrying in bronze. For what its worth, platinum/diamond/challenger players frequently smurf in silver/gold and carry 80percent or more. Its utterly embarrasing how much better they are than the lower divisions. When i'm playing with my brother (99% of my ranked games) it goes like that. I'm the captain in almost every match and he's always near the bottom. You guys should play some bronze 4 games and stuff tho before you say it's easy to win by winning your lane, or even winning top + mid both. Can't do much if you go 14/2 mid and your bot lane is 0/17 combined and 100cks behind.
I don't have to save replays to know when I make mistakes and what I did wrong, I usually know as soon as I do it. I didn't realize gold was top 5%, that makes it not so bad. I have been moving up slowly (got placed in bronze 3, spent the first 60ish games getting reacquainted to LoL after a very extended break to play Heroes of Newerth) but I started playing Smite now so haven't been on League in a couple weeks.I plan to test this theory soon. edit: People have selective memory. You remember the games that you couldn't have won (because of insert reason here) but forget games that your team carried you. You remember games where you had the AFK but forget games where the other team had an AFK resulting in 20min forfeit. A GOOD win rate is 55 percent. This will show slow and steady improvement. You aren't supposed to be utterly demolishing your games and if you were, then you wouldn't be bronze.
Of course, since you're a player genuinely concerned about improving his game (instead of making excuses), surely you've saved your recent games using lol replay and review them after game and document mistakes or things you could have done better. Right?
I thought so.
If you WANTED to do this, I'd be glad to review it with you because I GUARANTEE you every minute you are doing stupid shit that you dont' even realize, and if someone pointed it out to you a light bulb would go off. I've offered this to at least 5 bronze guys who bitch about it being impossible to carry and no one ever takes me up on it... something tells me a significant amount of gold players would love to have a platinum/diamond player review their games. I sure would.
Double edit: Bronze 2 puts you above the majority that play ranked. Not sure what silver is but gold is top 4-5 percent. If you aren't working hard on improving your game then why would you feel entitled to being in the top 25 percent? I'm not trying to single you out, but I think people have this crazy idea that if they just PLAY MORE GAMES then they will improve. That only gets you so far.
I take it serious because I don't have a 5man premade to play with.Whole bunch of people taking this solo queue business waaaaaaaay too seriously.
In one of my failed promo series to Bronze 1 the first game was just a total defeat, one of those 28 to 4 type games at 15 minutes. The second game I had a (assumed) duo running revive. One was a rammus jungle, the other was adc vayne. Rammus went 0/16 and the intentional feed was obvious, vayne went 2/14 altho admittedly wasn't as obviously feeding. Yay!You won't win every game - I ran into a "Garen ADC" with teleport ignite going bot lane that worked out awful, but you should win a majority of them.
