Despite starting 1-9 the League system has been chain feeding me points and skipping me divisions. Went from Gold 5 to 3 to 1 to Plat 5 to Plat 3 with 31 LP earned each game and now I'm already basically done with the season. Trying to grind my way to diamond this early in the season when it is now possible to lose a full tier is some uninteresting shit. The kind of terrible, "holy fuck what is this" play I still see has made ladder climbing just completely uninteresting. I guess there's some morbid curiosity in seeing how many games I'll get to solo dragon at 6 minutes and 12 minutes and 18 minutes with the same pink ward but beyond that I think I need to start a new account and probably start a new account each season.

Take a break from ranked, play aram with friends. Or normals with crazy lane setups.

Maybe I'm missing something but whats the incentive towards climbing the ladder anyways? do you get skins or anything? RP?

After doing my placements I went back to normals because its less stress, more fun, and a lot faster.

At the end of the season they usually have rewards based upon tiers. For example, at silver you get a silver border on the load screen, an icon that denotes silver, and a victorious ward skin. For gold you got a gold border for the load screen, gold icon, victorious ward skin , and victorious elise skin. You get the idea.

Also I find no satisfaction winning normals where players have little care about the end result.

I'd read it. Lately I seem to only play ranked when I've had a couple drinks...whether that's a good thing or a bad thing I don't know lol. Usually I'll just do dominion, normals or maybe 1 ranked game if I'm sober. Yet after a couple beers I love me some ranked.

Ive been tearing up SoloQ with Yasuo recently.

Ended last night with a 3 game win streak using him, carried the final game to get promoted to Silver I. After going 3-7 in my placements and landing in Silver III I'm finally moving up and have a record over .500 now.
It's to the point now that if I can get Yasuo I'm extremely confident my team will win the game, no matter how much feeding occurs.

My last game last night is a good example in that I was against a Nidalee that was roaming a ton and picking up kill after kill. She had 8 kills to my 3 at one point. The game quickly turned after a few key moments. Here are a couple highlights:

In the past 13 games with Yasuo I'm 12-1 however the 1 loss is when I duo'd with Xalara and our ADC decided to quit 10mins in (I posted this a page or 2 back). If our ADC had stayed that would have been a win too.
There was a period of time where I had a 5 game lose streak with Yasuo, since then I've gone 16-4 (should be 17-3 if not for the 4vs5 loss).

After you do a lot of ranked you begin to learn a lot of the nuances of the game. Normals are just for testing builds and trying out new champs before ranked. I don't get satisfaction from laning with someone who (likely) has no idea what they are doing. This happens in normals pretty often after a while and it isn't fun to win every single trade, counterjungle knowing the enemy jungler has no idea of the timings and stuff you're abusing.

Always go for the challenge. That's why I play ranked.

There is a MMR in normals too you know. My normal rating is actually higher than my ranked rating has been since that's mostly what I play, I fight roughly high plat/low diamond players in normals and low plat/high gold in ranked.

Yeah normals are pretty much only good for doing silly shit to see exactly what a champion is/is not capable of or for seeing how different runes/masteries feel in the first couple minutes of laning. The majority of people don't take normals seriously, but there are usually 1 or 2 in every game that will all-caps rage/troll anyone having a good time. It diminishes the gameplay experience a great deal imo. If I don't feel like playing ranked or aram, I prefer 3v3's.

TT is a blast, but I ruined it for myself on my main account. Back when the first did the rework and introduced Vam Dammes Pillager I went on a murder spree of like 33-1 with Garen and it sent my mmr there through the fucking roof. I get 5+ minute queue times for it now, and sometimes they won't even go during primetime =\

Yeah Fawe I think I am going to pick up Yasuo myself. I already played a few games before the S4 start with him and he was fun. Man, if he gets going it is bonkers.

That said, if I get Vi I am also pretty co fident in winning.
