So 10 placement matches plus 2 game series + 4 games to get to series. 16 games. 35 minutes a game.. Call it 9 hours.
In that extremely favorable scenario, you'd make $5.55 an hour. It is definitely not worth it for one of the parties involved.

It won't for most but you do understand that like 80% of the playerbase is in bronze/silver right? Why you think gold is the cut off for the skin? Not a rare type of deal like if they mad it plat/diamond + but still not an everybody has it type of deal.

I won one of my games in 16 minutes and there were two more between 18 and 20 minutes during placements. I don't think I had any game last more than 25 minutes - nevermind 35 minutes a game. I'd say it probably took a little more than 6 hours to get to gold and I'm only Plat. I don't see it taking Lumi that long to do it, though its probably a fair price regardless.

I'd do it a little bit faster then that but you have to realize it's 50$ I wouldn't have got doing the same shit I'm doing anyways. Hell I'd even do for 40$
Lumie knows what he's talking about. It's worth it just for the skin. You'll probably learn a bunch of stuff too.

Either way, I'm pretty sure that's how any elo booster does it, you give them your account info and they go ahead and play on it. It is amazing to me how cheap it is though, $50 to get to gold, I mean hell, that can take quite a long time especially if they are low silver with a lot of games played so their LP isn't gaining 30+ a game. I'm Platinum so I don't have to worry about it but I know if I was in silver and really wanted that morg skin / border / ward skin (?) $50 seems very cheap.

it's probably easier on the "never played ranked" accounts than someone in bronze 4 or something because if you 8-2 or better your placements you will probably be silver 1 or gold 5 right off the bat.

I ran into a strong wall of derp around the afternoon time on saturday, some of it was my play other instances were d/c's/feeding.
I noticed that I got more quality teams the later the night ran on (for whatever reason) so after picking up on this trend I decided to get into my gold promos late last night (won 4 ranked in a row) and have 2 more wins to go. I'll queue up later tonight and see if my "luck" holds true.
I personally have always found a similar result. Somewhere around 11pm on in to about 5am I found the best chance of winning due to better teammates.
