Yeah too bad the person streaming looked like they had never played a video game before, but what little I watched did look neat.

Is that site private/invite only? It's up on newsgroups, but the rar is password protected so I can't unzip.

i don't think its invite only, you have to go to specifically rutracker dot org/forum/viewforum.php?f=1605 to see the ROMs but you may need to be a member to download. If you can't figure it out I can share the magnet link, no password or anything

I downloaded and played it inside ryujinx latest just now, ran perfectly fine but was running at 20 fps and spitting out errors galore. But seemed fine. I'm sure in 2-3 days it'll have a 60 fps patch and all that jazz

I have it preordered and also downloaded the rom last night, think it'll be possible to run on an old 970 with an i7 cpu?

Also, any noob help for getting ryujinx up and running? I was able to get Cemu going years ago but I'm a but outdated in terms of the emulator scene. Would definitely prefer to play emulated if it runs anywhere close to cemu did BOTW, or at least more stable than the switch.

Why do people think that TotK is magically going to run well in emulators within days when BotW still isn't in good shape after several years? Cemu is what made BotW work, and there's no WiiU version to make that happen this time around.

You can try this website, it has the step by step instructions including downloading the product keys (piracy) and firmware (piracy) and TOTK rom (piracy) so obfuscating the link for google scrapers and shit, you'll need to auto translate from ruski to english (chrome does this for me)

dtf (dot) ru/howto/1794400-prostoy-gayd-po-nastroyke-the-legend-of-zelda-tears-of-the-kingdom-dlya-pk-na-emulyatore-ryujinx

I played for an hour yesterday within ryujinx and it ran ok during the prologue with the 30 fps patch but after that I would get texture garbage (black dots) in a lot of places, probably needs some fixes. Trying right now under Yuzu but its not even starting, probably need some core patches which I think are paywalled behind patreon for a few days usually. Yuzu is open source so you can just dl the latest branch and compile yourself, the patreon just provides prebuilds. I'm playing Jedi Survivor so no real rush to play. I've seen some people say the game is running really great with the latest yuzu src and 30 fps mod.

I'm pretty sure the game will be fine in Ryu/Yuzu by the end of the weekend at 30 fps which is what the switch runs at anyways. Getting to 60 fps may be tough and take a while since it looks like cutscenes and some game mechanics are tied to FPS.

Runs decently on Ryujinx. Definitely has some graphical issues and my intro scenes were definitely missing music/sound effects. Don't know if that's an emulator issue or if there's a day one patch coming. Anyway, cool intro.

I find it kind of ridiculous they are charging $70 for a 1080p game. It should be $60, but I'll pay the $70 anyway. lol

Anyone remember paying like $80 for FF3(6) or SF2 Turbo back in teh day? I mean granted, there was a fuckton more "technology" in the carts than a damn download or disc, but games today should cost like $130-150 based on inflation alone.

Also, the average movie is what? $7/hr of entertainment at minimum? At $70, a 40 hour game is less than $2/hr entertainment. I haven't spent that little since I got a blowie under the bridge from ol' Toothless Tootsie.

Frankly, I'm a shill for Zelda anyway. Don't believe anything I say. The only two entries I've "disliked" were Zelda 2 and Majora's Mask. Skyward Sword was pretty "blah" too.

I think they know that sales would plummet at those prices as it makes it an unaffordable hobby to just buy a game on a whim or en masse like people do now. If you’re in discords you see a lot of gamers waiting on sales for even $15-20 games.

I believe $70 will become the new AAA norm over the next couple years. I see people testing the waters with it on steam. Diablo 4. TotK is going to sell like mad at $70. I think it will be THE game that really pushes $70 as the new price point for everyone because it’s sales will be so good, showing the industry people are willing to do it if the game is good enough.

Huh? Games have been 70 bucks since PS5 came out almost 3 years ago. It has been the new norm.
