We are in a very similar situation.. Most of my other shows I will put off till the next day when I get home late.. not these two. Gonna be upset when they both go on break in another week or so.

Hope they explain something like NZT affects people like Brian and Mora differently than most people.

Makes me wonder if those shots are not just used to delay the side-effects but are a series of shots to eventually make you not need NZT anymore (make it permanent). Remember during the end of the movie, Morra said to Robert De Niro's character that he didn't need to the pills anymore (De Nero's character closed down all the labs)?

They explained it earlier in the series. It heightens the way your brain already thinks. Brian clearly thinks artistically and searches for more information. Even as a dummy. So the pills just expand upon that.
The chick at the party, on the other hand, thinks "I'm going to impress people with my knowledge!" way, and the pill made her an even more unbearable cunt. Just like how the dude's girlfriend got even better at biology with her pill.

So NZT works better on Brian because he plays guitar? He's a pretty stereotypical stoner/loser just like Mora was a loser in the movie.

Dont forget he also banged his landlord's chick. Also not sure where I said 1 pill = curing cancer, but you'd think his path to not being affected by the side effects and not needing the pill anymore would be pretty standard for super geniuses. But nope, Mora's the only one to ever think of it for some reason.

Being a stoner/loser does not mean you are dumb. Smart people are often lazy slackers, having grown up their whole life with everything being easy for them in comparison to other kids in school meant they hardly had to work at it. Many smart people also turn to pot to help them feel more normal by dumbing themselves down to other people's level.
I'm not saying all stoners or losers are smart, but in Mora and Finch's case, they were. The dealer guy for Mora in the movie even tells him 'it works better if you are kinda smart to begin with' as if it didn't really work on him. It's also hinted at by Mora's past that he has intelligence, he just is lazy, procrastinates and self-destructs often. NZT gave him clarity into this, and he immediately starts cleaning up and organizing his life on the first pill. Same with Finch, he found out clever ways to cheat in school and take shortcuts through life in general.
The writers of the show and movie have very clearly outlined that both individuals had decent intelligence, they lacked motivation and drive to use it correctly, though.

That's proving my point. Which isn't, "Why are Finch and Mora able to do this?" It's, "Why is nobody else?".
With the number of people who've taken NZT through the movie and TV show, why Mora's the only one who thought it would be a good idea to figure out how to be immune to the side effects? And how to possibly not even need to take the pill anymore?
In the movie people seemed to just take it until they died or looked like a meth addict, while in the show they seem content to go party at raves or something.
