Monkey Shoulder is a pretty darn good blended Scotch, especially for the price. Very similar to things like Larceny or Johnny Drum bourbon. Cannot beat the taste and quality for the money. I'd say it is better than some of the more expensive variants
This has been my favorite lately.
This is probably my favorite over all.
For those of you who enjoy gin & tonics, I cannot recommend Jack Rudy Small Batch Tonic enough. This shit makes the BEST G&Ts. Tonic concentrate. Add your gin, a little bit of this, and then club soda. Add in a cucumber (the citrus flavor from the tonic cancels the need for lime) and you have one of the best G&Ts you've ever had.
And I've also on the Bourbon train for about 4 years now. Drank scotch when I was younger cause I thought it was cool but I've realized I just don't like it. When I want to spend a little more I'm all about the basils:

It's about 10 bucks for 750ml and honestly the taste is on par with makers IMO, little less sweet. Keep in mind smoked for 10 years through my 20's so my taste may be a little muted.
