Do you get mats from every level? I love towers, and most gacha games seem to have one. Pretty fun gauge of power sometimes based on how far you can get.

I was a retard in the tower with my Artillerist for about a week. Got to floor 44 where slimes just sectioned off the entire place and then bombs would come out. The thought was that the slimes were going to slow me by some obscene amount and the bomb-men would just make quick work of me. Then, I went in later with an hour glass thinking I could hour glass through the big boys and the next thing I know a slime hits me before that and I realize they aint shit and wipe out the rest of the tower in less than 2 minutes. /feelzbadman
I personally did it all with my main because by the time I actually went in there, I was within a few upgrades of tier 2. There is just so many honing mats you get in tier 1 on your main that Im hard pressed to understand how anyone has an alt at the item levels for each floor before their main.

I believe so, but only on 2nd clear.
Some floors give 1k destruction/guardian stones. Just finished it on my pally, last floor is 7 large harmony shard bags.

Hmm, almost doesn't seem worth it.
Funny glitch when you click the buy crystal button in the bottom left when in the Crystal tab of the shop. Actually, I can't seem to make it happen now.
Also, the game is telling me I need to join a guild, is there a spot open in the alt guild? I am a level 30 paladin slowly working my way to 50.

While I'm the first person to say that gold is being terribly undervalued and people are going to regret how they're spending it in T3, I cannot imagine a world in which I didn't KT every opportunity. It's certainly not even worth it from a value standpoint but holy hell even skipping as much as possible I'm so fed up of doing these.

Well I'm making a ton of gold selling T3 and T2 mats and just investing into blue crystals atm but yeah I'm feeling like ~1k gold is worth not spending 1h30-2h doing Rohendel/Yorn stuff again. Feiton I've only done once so I'll probably do a couple of times once my alts get to that but it's really fucking boring otherwise, and you don't even get that many materials doing it.

I'm sitting on a little over 200k gold from AH work. The main detriment towards using KT is the exp hit for the alt - as you said, the materials are inconsequential for the most part. With that being said, skipping has let me focus a lot more on side things for my main (I'm 1% away from level 53 and I'm 78% completed into Punika without having bought anything, just farming). Re-doing Rohendel is such a massive waste of time even if you're doing it efficiently that 1k gold is a very small price to pay imo.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. 200k is a ton though lol. I'm making like 8-10k a day and just buying blue crystals with most of it but haven't been playing the AH. The xp is kinda irrelevant with the xp boost thing for other chars I feel like, especially Rohendel xp which isn't even that much. Yorn at least is a bit more but with the training thing it doesn't feel very important either, getting chars to 51 is easy enough. I only need a couple more skill point potions to have 330 at 51 too and then I'll be fine for a while.

My weapon luck has been absolutely insane in T3. That is three attempts in a row (30%, 15%, 15%) that have succeeded on the first try. Got level 53 and missing .8 for the Punika skill point, which I should get tonight. The amount of damage with the skill points and weapon compared to even someone at 1340 is pretty significant -- almost tempted to use some gold to push to 1370 with all the people stopping to sell mats.

I've been converting into blue crystals just cause it makes sense that gold is inflating, so Im right there with you. Ive exchanged gold anytime Ive gotten above 4k (feel like thats a safe area) and Ive put away something like 9k blue crystals to use for later. Not including what I got from the platinum pack, and the lvl 50 pack. Though Im probably no where near as wealthy as you, and definitely not in the Voldeth's realm.
On a separate note - Im confused about knowledge transfer. I see that Feiton is an option, but anything past 302 doesnt give gear. So is a Feiton KT just going to start a new character at 302 and you have to grind up all the way, regardless? Or can you just queue up for the Feiton lvl 1 Chaos dungeon right away?

The only KT eligible for a fresh character is Vern, which will complete to 302 without Shushire being completed. The subsequent KT's have a gear score requirement for that character, which is aligned for when the continents in question unlock. Thus any subsequent KT passed the original one is only used to skip completing the story for that continent. It's also important to note that it isn't unlimited in that you need a certain amount of characters to have reached / completed the story in question before you can KT a character passed it (so you can't KT to skip Rohendel on two straight alts, for instance).

Maybe if I'm so flush with gold that saving an hours worth of time on an alt makes sense in comparison to my dread of doing it the ump-teenth time. But even then, the value just doesnt sound like a good trade off.

That seems like a bargain. The cash conversion on that in game is like $5 for 1k gold (gems to gems to gold).
