There's actually a fair amount of drama going on as parsing is a status quo in the NA version of Lost Ark but KR never readily adopted it. Recently KR started using a different version of our parser and realized that, like in most things, NA is right and class balance is garbage. This created a lot of drama on the KR forums (imagine being the whale who spent 20-30k and your class does less damage than a F2P?). Based on this, the most recent build that Smilegate sent us actually broke our ability to run the parser and it's created a pretty big uproar in NA. You abso-fucking-lutely need a parser in this game as there are a lot of players who just don't pull their weight and as you're running multiple raids every week, wasting hours of that carrying someone in a reclear lobby is not anyone's idea of fun.
In terms of the class break down, NA tends to focus on the flavor of the month and what's most powerful. The only exception here are Gunslingers, which can be explained by tits + guns. It's definitely pretty far from an accurate tier listing though. For examples, Summoners have been absolutely ridiculous damage for quite some time (they were recently nerfed in KR) but no one plays the class in either NA or KR.
I consider Aegir to be, from a raid construction standpoint, absolutely amazing. The normal mode is completely free and even a brain dead zdps player can clear with relative ease. Hard mode G2 is a significant challenge however after a few weeks it will naturally become almost free as the challenge rests solely on making the DPS requirements and since you'll unlock Ark Passives by clearing this becomes a non-issue and an easy farm. My issue is more so with how much praise it's receiving (there are multiple threads saying that this is the best raid ever released / that it's similar to Valtan and feels amazing, etc) when I don't particularly find any of the mechanics to be all that interesting.

At current prices:
Adrenaline = 1.4 million gold
Grudge = 850k gold
Cursed Doll = 600k gold
KBW = 825k gold
Hitmaster = 375k Gold
total value = ~4 million gold.
The present maximum solo gold value if you clear all 3 raids for maximum gold and do not loot any boxes is 88k gold per week. I'm nowhere near motivated enough to run multiple hard's so would rather go with a safe assumption of ~50k earned per character x 6 to total 300k. Based upon that, it would take me about 14 weeks if I focused solely on relic books (which I wouldn't as I want to hone some alts up a bit) without counting any lucky drops (e.g. there's always a chance I could cut a necklace worth 2 million and cut the time down significantly). I thus think it's going to take me until about June to realistically have full relic books unlocked like that.
Edit: Alternatively it would cost about $5,600 (CAD) buying gold. With Esther prices being lower, the toon you spotted easily spent about 100k to achieve.

Prediction: this will do absolutely nothing except force veterans to pounce on new players with the green leaf and bus them in order to earn their relic book.
...Thankfully I've already secured a green leafer!
in other news, I reached 1690 and I'm now using arc passive (albeit with really shitty accessories). The DPS increase I have is absolutely insane and every new Aegir piece is going to make it grow even further.

This would only make sense if there were actual mokoko players and they didn't fuck up the requirements. Hey, fucktards, all you have to do is make it so anyone with a character below 1660 is a mokoko and juice the fuck out of their shop, it's not that difficult.
In other news, Aegir reclear was a 1 tap and every single week sees a huge spike in power and potential gold. I got 5 necklaces above 70 quality during the clear which can either mean that I've won the lottery or nothing at all.
