Well it finally happened.

She had some friends over at her parents place for a sleep over and the power goes out. She texts me at like at 1 but I'm already asleep.

This morning I ask her if she survived because a college sleep over with a power outage is the start of a million horror movies and she says yes. Then I joke saying how can I be sure your not the chainsaw wielding serial killer.

She goes "because I'm still confused about my gender"

I go that doesn't help because of the best horror movie villians had gender confusion issues.

Annnnd apparently I just labeled all trannys and gender confused people as serial killers now she's pissed.

I'm going to give her the silent treatment and see what happens.

Despite tiggles issue how does board feel about the use of the silent treatment. I know my own personal experience that it never helps but sometimes you just know that talking only digs the hole deeper.

Yeah she says she's "non-binary" and as such she's not a girl or a boy.

I mean this is the text book example of a rich white girl trying to earn impression points.

She looks like a girl, dresses likes a girl, acts like a girl but if you call her a girl she gets offended.

In person it's not really a big deal but texting her is a fucking chore since you have to proof read your shit.

I'm pretty sure when she gets back after new year's I'll already be bored of her I'm already getting aggravated.

The "silent treatment" is juvenile at best, only reason to do it is to not say something stupid in the moment. Eventually you have to talk about it or it festers.

Silent treatment is fine when it's just enough to cool down and either swallow your pride or compromise.

I'll give it to tonight and text her saying I'm sorry and it was not what I intended to say and blah blah.

WTF....I thought you were supposed to be the Dom in this relationship. Don't apologize you made a small off colored joke. Seriously if you have any hope for this relationship you need to push back. If she doesn't like it then fine let her know it is fine to communicate that to you but you did not know that about her at the time and you will not be tiptoeing around on egg shells to not offend her. Then add this gem 'You want a relationship where you feel safe to tell her what ever your thinking. If that isn't the type of relationship she wants then maybe you two are looking for different things'
