If you specifically want that hero and don't have an interest in playing the others, then yes. Just buy him and get the BOGO.

For the new people some advice about hotkeys : You have 3 pages of hotkeys you can swap between using the 1,2 and 3 keys. The extra pages are good places to put toggle powers, like Storms auras or Taskmasters stances. Also you can assign powers to the f-keys. With the power panel open you can mouse over a power and press f1 through f6. Then when you press that f key that power will be in the right mouse button slot. Make sure to assign the normal right mouse button an f key so you can swap back.

Even if you play a character with few powers, I highly recommend reading the following post to keybind the slots on the extra ability pages. You can put flight powers or other movement powers on the extra pages and use them quickly without having to swap pages or use the f-keys. This also makes it easy to use artifacts that need to be placed on the action bar, like ziggarauts or cloaking devices.

when I use the f keys to toggle, it moves to my curser is that normal? im not even casting them just cycling through and it moves to the mouse.

And I was about to buy a stash tab, good thing I held off. I purchased two heroes so far, Ms. Marvel and Black Panther. The free ones were Squirrel Girl and Rocket Raccoon. I started playing yesterday and I was able Ms. Marvel to level 22. She is a fucking beast and can take a shit load of damage. I only used 1 health pack so far and I was soloing the Blob and toad boss. Best part she can either be melee or ranged. I will either buy Nightcrawler or Psylocke next week since the BOGO is going on. The game has come a long way since the last time I played it. I'm really liking the in game events. Seems like they are taking the same route as Path of Exile and I wish Blizzard would do the same with D3. The character skill tree is perfect for me. Not overwhelming like Poe but not as simple like D3. I'm not sure how the trade system but from what I read they plan on improving it. Combat is fun and fast paced, just perfect for a super hero game. Crafting is nice, I like how you upgrade the quality of your gear. I haven't got deep into you see what other things it has to offer. I also like how they don't force you to buy anything in the game in order to enjoy it. You can buy heroes with in game currency. Can't wait until I get to 60 for end game content and upcoming raids.

Got 6 people in the supergroup so far, logging off for now but Asleepdan and Pyros should be able to invite you, just pm them ingame.

I kinda wanted to nab mrs marvel because I hear shes op and can solo shit with no gear, that's always a nice choice for a first hero it seems, not sure how BP scales if you need lots of BIS or not.

and yeah not sure why the game feels a little unresponsive since im running a new rig with a 780, lots of ram SSD etc, moving the mouse around seems a bit sluggish not smooth and unresponsive, and there seems to be a lot of hitching.

No hitching here. Just using GTX 660, too. 1920x1200.

Just got to Savage Land and saw the Brood. Holy shit talk about right out the Marvel universe. Having a blast with this game. If anyone want to hook up my name is Nolagamer.

Unfortunately most of the costumes i want are either for heroes i dont have at 60 or heroes i just dont own.

or costumes that you can't buy. god i want symbiote suit. back in black doesn't even begin to cut it.

Are you running 32 bit windows? If not, make sure your video drivers are up to date.

As for Black Panther he is not great as a fresh 60 but he's not terrible. He doesn't need BiS gear to be great, just decent gear. But once you gear him... my god.

How is Nightcrawler? Is he gear dependent, BIS to be end game viable? I saw a guy on YouTube clearing cosmics and he was zooming through it. He looks like a fun hero to play. High dps buy squishy as hell. Also can you explain to me what cosmics are? Is that a level of difficulty or a certain zone in the game?

He does require a bit of gear because he is squishy, but he does tons of damage.

Is there a way without buying characters to test them out? Maybe like a PTR server or test server? I would hate to buy a hero and not like playing him unless you can get a refund within a certain time.

It doesn't work like that. You buy one hero and you then get a hero box in your inventory which can open up any hero. Ms. Marvel for sure and that's the only one I can comment on. I hear Scarlet Witch is good especially clearing cosmics. I have her at level 12. I'm biased towards Nightcrawler so I would say him tok. A lot of people play Black Panther also.

oh alright, well after black panther who is someone else that's a lot of fun, like I said I got no connection to the marvel universe so its not like I have favorites etc.

I guess maybe someone that's a completely different play style? what do you guys recommend.

also if you buy a 450 hero, can you only have a chance at a random 450 hero etc?

theres a ptr server where you have access to them all. info for how to get on should be on their forums.

well I guess I only get to choose one, idk if ill get more than that, doubt I see myself even playing 2 characters let alone 3.

but how is loki end game wise, like I said ms marvel ive heard just does not need gear to effectively farm end game upong reaching 60.

but yah does it kinda work like in a store, if you buy something for 10 bucks you get something of equal or lesser value? assuming if I buy a 450, I cannot random something higher than a 450G hero?
