You have a chance at any hero, even the most expensive. Except maybe Psylocke because she is brand new.

how is lokis playstyle it seems very mage like, also how is he at end game.

Loki is only ok at end game unless you have several very rare drops, in which case he's really good.

Aah ok, What would you recommend for maybe a more group oriented character, someone that debuffs and increases group damage efficiency and the like?

my main is gonna be BP so looking for something on the other side of the spectrum.

So your looking for a ranged class? I'm downloading the test center and going to mess around with a few level 60 characters to see which ones I will buy. I would suggest doing the same.

This is a very solo centric game. Buffs and group focus are pretty secondary points (that might change in raids but I doubt it). There is no D2 paladin in this game.

As for which hero you should buy, go ahead and get Ms. Marvel. I guarantee you won't be disappointed and you might even random another strong hero like Iron Man.

I still like the small company charm of this game.

Especially the typo on the description of the random hero box that everyone in the game looked at recently. Arleady!

The test center is not on 100% of the time, so be aware of that. Once on test there is an xp pot in the store to level you to 60, in the specials? Tab. The second to last one.

Is this Bogo thing still going on? I grabbed Scarlet witch, but didn't get a random hero box in my inventory.

edit: Oh derp. You only get one if the hero you purchased isn't part of a bundle.

that's unfortunate... I figured it would have a more social aspect due to the some what MMO ish feel with mass players around, so yeah I guess mr marvel is a good choice since she basically is a solo machine without much gear needed.

Raids are coming out soon so that may change.

I started playing this today. It's pretty slick game, and the price is right. I started out with Storm, but bought Scarlet Witch and Firestar TU. Spent $10 on Scarlet Witch and $10 on Credits. I got an extra 250 credits free for getting a character to L15, so I grabbed Black Widow...shes a beast compared to the other two at this level. Firestar actually does nice DPS, and can pretty much hold her own most of the time; I keep her active all the time, and the extra DPS does speed leveling along well enough.

I used these promo codes to get a small stack of xp/cash/gear drop boosts:Marvel Heroes: Promo Codes - Orcz.com, The Video Games Wiki

I also got another Hero (some guy I've never heard of) from a random box that I got when I bought Black Widow.

How well does Black Widow do in the end game? Whatever that is.

Black Widow is fine end game. She has an ability called Timed Explosives which can taunt even bosses indefinitely as long as you lay them down so you can get away with building her purely offensively (which is how I built mine). She's not the strongest character in the game but she is good.

I went ahead and bought Nightcrawler and I got Ironman as my free one. I'm really living Nightcrawler at the moment. His mobility is crazy with his teleportation. He is squishy but as long your constantly moving you should alright. Very different from Ms. Marvel's playstyle of tank and spank.

So far it seems really good leveling and okay at max level. Plus side is all the team up have a when team up is away passive boost options in their skill tree so even if you are not pulling it out at max level its gear plus those talents still make it very very useful.

I'm having a hard time focusing and leveling one hero. My highest is 35 and I think my next goal will be to get everyone I have to 25.

How badly am I fucking myself by not racing to max level ASAP? I don't really care about being raid ready. I play at most two nights a week.

The only thing that getting max level does is give you a significant xp boost to all your heroes and the second synergy passive at level 50.
