Just out of curiosity...would you all be as mad if they just came out and said that most people will never get full omega points? Is the issue that it's unattainable by 98% or is it that they claim a casual gamer will cap it?
the big problem gaz is having is that their defense of the increase doesnt hold up to even the slightest examination. Its one thing to communicate with your community, its another to outright lie to them and then try to defend it.

I don't see a problem honestly. Almost everything in MH is so easily attainable aside from a few specific artifacts/uniques. Playing any other game with any form of grinding would require way more time than MH requires.

Just be careful with bars. You're wasting your money if youbuy them at alleat 2-5 of those at once because it increases the effect with severe diminishing returns.

And no, you can't eat a second bar at the 59 minute mark to get 150% for the entire second hour. It keeps track of the duration of each one individually and as soon as the first hour is up it drops back down to 100% for the remaining time of the second one.
I haven't spent any money on anything yet, just getting a ton of the boosts from codes and events. What's a good strategy for maximizing boosts? My max guy is just a Black Panther at level 33; once I get my desktop back in a few weeks I want to get to 60 asap. Should I bother using anything but exp boosts before 60?

Well conspiracy theorists will tell you that rarity/special boosts don't matter at all. I like to use some while leveling just to try and get unique/cosmics which help out a bit while leveling, but if you don't have many I would save some for farming your endgame gear.

On an unrelated note, Doomsaw confirmed Nova for hopefully early October. So excite. Don't care if he is shitty, gonna main him because I'm a fanboy.

So I built a new computer and got it up and running a few days ago and I downloaded MH again, but I cannot run the game in full screen at all. As soon as I launch the game it shows the marvel splash screen for a split second then alt tabs the game to the taskbar. If I click the game again to maximize it, it auto minimizes again. The only fix i've found so far is running the game with the -windowed command-line from the MH launcher. Once I get into the game, if I set it to full screen it minimizes and I can't keep it maximized.

I know it's a long shot, but has anyone else experienced this? If so, how did you go about fixing it so you could have the option to play full screen?

Edit: Nevermind, I fixed it. The game was running full screen at the wrong resolution. Set it to my monitors reso and it's working fine in full screen now.

if you are going to just grind it out, Legendary Quests - Terminals and Midtown mostly
use theguide here
i rambled on for a bit, so just spoilered it
try to avoid most with Treasure Rooms and only a few that use story checkpoints are worth the time, like Hunting Season is normally pretty quick, but all depends on how many other people are in the area. ones that have you kill one of the story bosses are better. but again some like Grim Reaper have you wandering around looking for the door. Some are longish but also a good change of pace, but other like "Doomstadt Village Raid" drive me bonkers unless also doing that part of the story or something.

don't know about BP, but understand he is very strong, red terminals are better for end reward xp.
what i normally do until strong, get LQ in Terminal, pick green, do most of the kill task and take out the boss, start same in red finish kill task, bodyslide out. 10 collect shards, get fortune card which is most times a boost.
problem is rerolling eats up cash like crazy and hunting for quest crap kills xp/boosts.
midtown with a group can be very good for LQ, but a couple can be a headache at times.
these seem to go pretty fast
Anti-elitism, Hold the line, Interloper intervention, Necessary Roughness, No big deal, Paramilitary putdown, Techno-virus termination, The tendrils of Limbo
these are slower, as may have to wait till they cycle through
Who scrutinizes the Sentinel?, Subterranean smack-down
these two can sometimes take awhile, they don't seem to have that many spawn points
End the brute violence, Cleaning house

as with terminals, the lower on the list you go, the longer they can take, except for kurse.

pretty sure x defense level groupings are x0 to x9, i find when it is best try these when at the top range, i join, check out my group and then pop xp boost. you don't want to waste it if teammates are in the lower part of the level range or dps lacking. most times need 2 good single target dps and 2 AoE to get far. more than 1 tanky hero, probably not going to get past round 10.

holo-sim, depends on your AoE, again no idea on BP. if you game it can be great xp. only do 1-3 rounds at a time and you want those to be horde waves.
earlier on, venom/hulk/modok waves are easy enough, but later on not worth the effort.
when you want to quit, be sure to do 1 thing, where it is kill or help a civilian, then die, so you can collect the reward and it will count a finished wave on the daily shared quest.

so without all the babble, i normal use 2 hour 50% xp around 45-49 and 55-59
normally save rarity and sif for 60

Treasure rooms aren't bad if its a chapter 1 quest. You can clear the treasure room, zone out, switch characters back & forth, clear again.

And like every other MMO developer since forever ago, Gaz sees an extreme outlier, flips their shit, and makes sweeping changes to the game that end up making them look pants-on-head retarded.

At least the industry is predictable... I guess.

The only change the should have made is lowering the total cap. Move the ceiling up each month by whatever number they're comfortable with people maxing. The only person they might have pissed off is that nolife 6500 guy.

i made a post a reddit about my xp gains last night
"an average player, with no boosts, 1 full year to complete"

which is 17.5 orbs per day, minus 1 for completing shared quests
playing with +105% xp, only have 7 level 60 heroes (no cyclops). the +250% server side more than makes up for that.
currently leveling up Savage Axe, was rank 3 at start.
all solo except for manape

cosmic jugg - 1 chest (7,635,912)
cosmic taskmaster - 1 chest + LQ (11,398,710)
cosmic taskmaster - 1 chest + LQ (11,410,947)
manape (25,042,724)
cosmic shocker - 1 chest + LQ (12,064,266)
cosmic shocker - 1 chest + LQ (11,429,420)
cosmic sinster - 1 chest + LQ (15,149,161)
cosmic hood - 1 chest (6,643,920)
cosmic hood - 1 chest (8,021,688)
cosmic hood - 1 chest (6,782,514)
cosmic hood - 1 chest (7,381,431)
holo-sim 7 waves (14,508,974)
holo-sim (95,096,750)
13 waves + 11 waves + 12 waves

Total = 232,566,417
8 Omega points
15.5 old

I would think this represents a normal night for many players. i don't see someone that doesn't play every day doing more than this without boosts.

my post was more about the amount of xp earn in a normal night, rather than the cost of orbs. going by his 1st statement, player would had to earn around 300+mil with a max of +250ish xp.
anyway

doomsaw replied to a comment in the thread

"They're also taking into account future content/login rewards, which we wouldn't have access to information about."

Doomsaw-Gazillion_sl said:
Yes, including free Orbs given through various programs, login rewards, Shared Quests, etc.

The data is actually very accurate, but a large number of hard-core players does move the average to a place that is probably too high, so we will compensate.
my translation -
the avg is to high for the unboosted avg player to hit, so let's jack up the xp enough to keep the boost chuggers spending for a little bit longer and everyone else will have to login daily and play our way to get rewards

Looks like they're dropping the Omega xp down to 19 million, and claiming they're going to ignore the top 10% outliers:

https://forums.marvelheroes.com/disc...07-patch-notes

Patch Overview

Tonight?s patch is mainly to take advantage of the network upgrade in the Boston server farm.

We don?t normally patch on Mondays, but we snuck in a few bug fixes, a few Thor upgrades and the promised Omega orb cost reductions.

We will have another patch Friday morning that should address most or all bugs that have been reported and introduce a small ?Summer Beach Party? weekend event that will allow the Hot Dog ingredients to drop again and introduce a few more rewards to use them on.
This Weekend?s Boosts

We will continue with a 100% server-side boost to RIF, SIF and Experience until Wednesday.
Thor Changes

Thor has received several small, but important, quality of life changes to his kit, in advance of his level 52 review.

Immortal Combat - Melee Damage Rating changed to All Damage Rating

Asgardian Stamina - Defense Rating replaced with flat 15% Damage Reduction

Vulnerability - Moved from Thundering Strike to Bring the Thunder to make it easier to apply and on a power that is used more often.
Item Changes

Cube Shards (the daily reward for defeating the boss of Green and Red terminals) now have a yellow name so they can be spotted a easier among piles of other loot.
Mission Changes

Reduced the number of HYDRA Mechs in X-Defense to take into account the pilots that were recently introduced as part of the enemy AI changes.

Increased the time between reinforcements for HYDRA in Holo-Sim, along with diluting out the frequency of HYDRA Mechs to make this wave easier for player.
Bug Fixes

Fixed scrolling issue with Apple?s Magic Mouse.

Colossus' Fissure will no longer be reflected by the missile reflection affix. It is no longer considered a ?missile? power.

Doctor Strange?s Mysticism cannot be triggered twice by rapidly pressing keys when his secondary resource is full.
Omega Update

Experience required to earn an Omega Orb has been reduced from 30 million to 19 million. We?re continuing to tune this so a larger percentage of players can earn a full year of Omega experience in less than a year. At this point, we?re are ignoring the top 10% of players as extreme outliers in the data.

We are continuing to fix bugs as they come in and fix any Omega node that is not on the correct budget or implemented incorrectly.

The next Omega Division, ?Mutation? will unlock launch with the release of Magneto later this year.
New Player Changes

?Join Party when entering instance? will now default to OFF for new accounts to avoid confusion for newer players during the first couple of hours of the game.

New players were becoming confused when an experienced player (either prestiging or leveling a new hero) would rush to the end of a zone and kill the boss quickly, while the truly new player was taking their time and tending to clear more of the zone. This will prevent that issue in the future.
Store Changes

Ultimate Thor will be launching in the next 24 hours.
This Week

We?re already working on the patch for later this week, focusing primary on every bug that is in the bug report section, along with as many quality of life changes that we can squeeze in.
Next Week

Domino Team-Up on Test Center

Star-Lord on Test Center

Raid out of Beta and ?Green Version? loot activated on loot tables

someone last night was wanting an Advanced Latverian Regalia, i have gotten 3 of them to drop now, so have a 4%/28% if you still need it.

Bloodstones are going away next patch with no ETA on their return. If you don't already have a stash of ~250/~420 Eagles I recommend rerolling Clea a lot this week to try to get some.
it takes Clea about 12 hours for her refresh bar to refill, is that normal or something that did to prevent hording?

artifacts that decrease in strength for every death you have.
they took the death stat out

Bloodstone Eagle
1,500 reveals enemies on the minimap within a range of (X)
265 (X) critical rating
436 (X) damage rating (-10% for each defeat you have)
[VISUAL] bloodstone runes

They still get worse with each defeat, you just can't see the stat on your character sheet anymore.

And yeah, Clea is very slow refresh.

Edit: And Bloodstones are gone now anyway.

Anyone who has both Scarlet Witch and Iron Man at 60 have an opinion on which is easier/quicker to level? (If either has spirit problems, assume I'll be using an Odinborn to mitigate it.)

I'm going to level them back to back regardless, but I don't have enough marks to buy two legendaries so I want to level the easier one first to collect marks to pay for the second.

Witch is slow till you get Chaos Warp, then your screen melts.

I found IM to be slow and tedious but no spirit problems once I got that shield discharge thing which restores spirit on use, I was using that "blueprint to success" build to level with though as I didnt want to waste a retcon. I think I stopped leveling him at ~30s last week until this 250% weekend which I maxed him during.
