I can put it even more simply: 20 points at 30M is rank 4 AND rank 5 of a legendary. How often do you do that in a single day, or more importantly, how would you like to do that every day for a year? (Even that comes up short but let's assume SQ orbs and various promotions make up the difference.)
I really don't understand how a company can seem to "get it" in so many ways, yet fail so spectacularly when it counts the most. Not just talking about Omega there, also stuff like loot drop rates, time required to max out even one character out of the 37 in game, etc.

lol are one of you maudeflanders I think it was? We were laughing about some of those posts in Mumble. Doomsaw should have gotten the hell out of that thread after his first post. The guy who posted those numbers, Walkeneightyone, is in my guild and he ripped up Doomsaws points about average player gains.

You'd think that they would have an extremely easy database query to find what the average user is at for Omega Points. I can't believe that their average user is anywhere near the 7500/year mark, or the 780 currently that some of the math showed.
Look at every account that has logged in since the June 4th patch, say discount any that have only logged in 10 or less times. Query for average number of Omega Points. If it's trending at a rate less than 7500/year, decrease XP needed. If it's trending above, sure, increase, but I can't remotely imagine that'd be the case.
It just confuses me that they seem unwilling to do the above, or are using some really really bad data. It's really simple math.

Well, with my 72 points I've not even spent any of them yet. I'm definitely well below the average. I own all but like 5 of the heroes now, and keep telling myself I'll level them all to 60, I just get distracted by other things, and work, and then I stupidly bought ROS for D3 and sunk some time over there, and then I...shiny object!
I'm getting older and have had an insane time trying to stick with any game anymore (not necessarily related things, just no longer seem to find any game worth spending more than an hour or two at a time at most, and not 40 hours a week like before). I bought like $200 worth of G now for Marvel Heroes, and then practically stopped playing. Don't regret it though, think the game overall is great, and a great f2p model, so I'm happy to have supported it.
