Well if you have 1500 now I'd guess you'll be bumped up to about 2500 when they implement the update.

Nice. Guess I'll stop leveling a character or two to 60 each day and just plow through all the ones I have left in a few hours on Friday then. Still have Black Widow, Cap, Colossus, Emma, Iceman, Iron Fist, Iron Man, Spidey, Taskmaster, and Vision left to go. Kind of tempted to buy another character before the BOGO ends too; either Black Cat, Doom, or Rogue.

I know Doom should be the obvious choice, but I'm not really a fan of the whole "villains as heroes" thing, plus I have like 4 other summoners already (Squirrel, Iceman, Rocket, and Loki) even if only one of them is really any good at the moment. Wish they'd buff the shit out of SG again, she was a lot of fun when she was godly and I'd much rather play her than Doom or Loki, just for the voice.

Still going to reserve judgement for the final result. Stat nodes (and anything else that costs hundreds/thousand+ points for a single node) were fucking dumb from the beginning so I'm not sorry to see them get nerfed at all. That said, the Omega UI is an abomination created by someone who clearly never took a class on UI design/usability and I'm never going to bother trying to figure that shit out for myself. I'll wait until someone else crunches the numbers for what the best per-point nodes are for each character so I can copy their spec. Just trying to find the nodes people tell you to take in their build gives me enough of a damn headache as it is.

Question about commendations: Is there a suggested order to buy the slot1-5 upgrades and challenge bonuses? I have no interest in raiding so I'm a bit leery about spending my protector's on challenge bonuses since it will make getting all the 69's take a lot longer.

Well the only real metric for solo play is 'can this hero efficiently farm cosmic danger room'. I can't really say a top 3, but in my experience Blade, Deadpool, Jean, Kitty, Rogue, and Spider-Man, are quite efficient at CDR. Rogue and Spider-Man are probably two of the top 3 all around heroes.

No summoners on your list? I thought Doom was universally agreed upon as the easiest/best CDR farmer of all.

One thing I've been wondering though: do you really get more merits/hour (only thing I care about) by doing CDR or is epic more efficient in the long run?

Hard to answer that as it depends on your personal clear speed. I do CDRs in around 4 minutes on Surfer, dont think Id be able to match that kind of output with epics.

I've never specced my Doom for summoning. And yeah I can see how Surfer would be really good for CDR, lots of damage while staying mobile.

If you're clearing that fast your ult won't be up every time even at lvl 20. And it's not like invuln matters that much, most ults melt them so damn fast that a bifecta is all you need.

So what is the fastest (solo) way to get ARMOR drives? I need like... 5000. Surely there's something better than running Task or Magneto for 2 or 3 at a time?

LQs give armor drives equal to the odin marks you get if you have people that need leveling, otherwise chaining red taskmaster or maybe red kingpin.

Also, after going through a bunch of heroes trying to find one I like enough to stick with I think I've settled on Spider-man. (Yeah, I know, I should have just listened to what you said the first time I asked. I've always hated the character in comics/movies/etc. though.) I have like 1500 omega and gain somewhere around 100 on a good day, hopefully more this weekend with the 229% boost running. Am I correct in thinking that I should buy a L80 shield for now and just eat the 200 odin tax when I have enough omega to swap to an axe and still survive? Right now I'm using a L70 Gungnir, but I want to switch ASAP so I can be getting the XP for the new one while we're boosted.
