I'm really happy with rogue and tempted to upgrade her ult, but I feel like she's still in a lot of danger of getting worked over with the nerf bat.
Back on this topic, isn't her ultimate still considered garbage like Loki's?

Seeing posts as recent as 12/2015 still saying the ultimate is a dps loss, with no one disagreeing. It certainly feels like that to me when I use it, even after taking the time to read all the skills and trying to figure out what order to use them in.

When was her last rework anyway?

Around then or before, guess I'll stop using it. Wish they would let you fucking parse combat logs.

*edit*

I don't think it's worth using ult upgrade tokens just for the bonus sig damage which is why I try to pick heroes with really powerful ults, like Blade and Spiderman. I'm not actually sure how Cable's ult rates damage wise, but it's cool and I like Cable so I did his too. Sitting on 20 tokens atm trying to decide who is next.

Rope - would love the GoM recipe you have - definitely. I'm Ancvz in game.

So I bought Ant Man and War Machine and leveled both to 60 - fighting and strength synergy bonuses, very nice addition. Ant Man was crazy fun, but incredibly squishy. Although I think everyone after playing Scarlet Witch and Spiderman for so long feels squishy. War Machine, I went with a ranged build (have done a lot of melee heroes), and the overheat mechanic is neat and he can really pour out some damage, but will probably just shelf him.

I keep seeing everyone saying Clea is pretty much the best team up, so I guess I should plunk down the ES and get her. I've currently got Groot, Holiday Groot, Shield Agent, Firestar, Spider Gwen, Magik, and Iron Man Mk2. Before I just came back, team ups were lame, now they are actually really helpful as a permanent active. Sadly 90% of the cosmic team up gear I find has away cosmic affixes on them, instead of the active ones, but they drop like candy from cosmic hightown, so just a matter of time before getting all that are needed.

Enjoying the game again quite a bit, particularly with the new leveling path of the story as opposed to just grinding LQs over and over. Granted you get a lot fewer Odin marks this way now, so I may need to plunk down for a few odin boost potions and pop them on a Monday during CMM. Figure that might be the best place, although with the shorter event timer in CHT, it might be better spent there. I converted several of my i70 legendaries up to an i80 for Spiderman, and I had enough for an i80 for Scarlet Witch, but that pretty much cleaned me out of legendaries. I've got 16 or so blessed artifacts so I can rotate those around as needed. Thank goodness for those recipes.

Fun game again!

Clea is the teamup queen as she does good damage and good support. For Spiderman, Howard is the best when put on away due to the Dodge rating and +1 fighting. Wasp is best for movement tag heroes (BP, Juggs, Psylocke for instance). But if your hero doesn't fall under movement or Spiderman, Clea is the best teamup due to her all-around greatness.

I still wonder what the hell I did wrong with SW before giving up on her. I found her squishy as hell, and even with Pirate Deadpool I failed the cosmic trial multiple times. I've never taken Cerebro or Psionic Overload on her either.

I'd really like a ranged character that can tank/dps somewhere in the ballpark of Spider-Man, but I'm not sure who that might be.

Re: Team-ups, get Pirate Deadpool, he's free for doing a hour or so worth of achievements. I use him so much I'm actually tempted to buy Deadpool Kid so that I don't feel like I should be switching gear for different heroes. Plus you can never go wrong with Troy Baker VOs.

Edit: Yeah, I wish I had Howard for Spider-Man, but I won't finish the achievement until something like May 6th.

At least I got credit for 2 completions on the first ARMOR event, but from what I understand that bug only happens once.

Coulson is very good as well, but 2000 Omega Files is like 3 events before you can buy him.

Fastest way to level team ups?

I'd assume (which is why I'm asking this question in case I'm wrong) that any activity that gets you the most xp/hour will also get them the most xp per hour, so Taskmaster/Hood runs or CMM bosses? Or do they get more xp from directly hitting things (kinda seems that wouldn't be the case since they level while away as well).

Thanks

Got a response from the guy who came up with the Suntank build regarding Rogue's ultimate.

Speaking for Rank 20 Ults (unsure how Rank1 is doing), but it's very much worth using now.

It's still the same transform version, however they've added HUGE static stat buffs essentially to each separate ability (I'll try to take an in-game pic to show the stats), & most importantly (Imo) they finally added an Energy attack to help keep Hybrid item's procced fully during the duration.

There is currently an Animation Issue right now with Angel's Power (forget the name) in which instead of diving then dashing around the location of your cursor.. it will instead just do the dive & stand in place but it still deals Damage at least.
I'm still pretty convinced it's a dps loss at rank 1, like not even in the ballpark AND I don't even have Wrath of Muspelheim yet. I also hate the transform thing. Her 'rotation' is complex enough that I've got it down to muscle memory using MMO mouse buttons and extra keybinds because it doesn't all fit on one bar. That's bad enough (considering Spider-Man doesn't even use one full bar), but having to mentally shift gears and do a completely different sequence of button presses just fucking sucks. Definitely will not be a priority for my tokens, even if it isn't Loki-tier anymore. I still have a long way to go to finish Spidey to 20 anyway, didn't get a single one out of limbo boxes yet and I haven't gotten an Odin blessing since the first day I got into CMM when I got two in the space of a hour.

How does the Operation Omega event work? I keep seeing people talk about the xp getting better as the week goes on or something like that. I'm currently setting up Iceman with a 60 int build to use to farm omegas, and I'm planning to burn all the experience boosts that I've hoarded to try to get as many as I can next week.

XP during Operation Omega is 24% per day of the event, so 24/48/72 etc. Then there is an additional 24% modifer on top of that to Omega xp, so on day 1 you're getting +24% normal xp and +48% omega xp.

Also just use the goddamn 1 bar build, fuck 2 bars in this game.

How is Green Goblin? I might load this up again for a bit to throw bombs at people.

I use thethingthat lets you bind extra keys that are right mouse alternates or on bar 2. Don't actually have to ever change bars myself.

Either way, 1 bar or 2 bars isn't going to change my opinion of having completely different skills bound to my buttons when I activate the ultimate. That's why it's shit.

Which Dr. Doom build is best right now? Summoner?

Also, how do you get the upgraded legendary?

Dude I own every hero, have 2/3rds of them fully geared at any time, and switch around whenever I get bored which happens pretty often to someone with adhd. Are you really telling me you can't adjust to 'hold lclick press a s s s s s d f g repeat' for 30 seconds?

More "can't be bothered to" rather than "can't adjust to". I mean, if I could kill the low hp dummy within the 30 seconds of the ultimate, compared to the ~45 seconds it takes me normally then sure, I'd be more inclined to put up with something I find clunky. Right now I kill the dummy in about the same time with or without using the ultimate, and that's with Flames of the Faltine loaded instead of Wrath of Muspelheim to proc mental omega/artifact shit, and no Starktech cubes loaded. The ultimate is all physical with just a token bit of energy and mental dmg, and I'm set up for all energy damage with token phys and mental. If I had to guess I'd say that's the main issue.

I guess I'm just spoiled by Spider-Man (and supremely lazy because most of the time when I'm playing I'm also watching a marathon of Always Sunny). 6 attack buttons, one of which is a dps loss on single target. The ultimate just wrecks shit without having to do anything else. And I almost can't die even in CHT now that I've fixed my Omega build. Yes, it's a little too simple at times, which is why I've been trying other heroes. The problem is that more complex usually comes with clunkiness as baggage. Rogue is annoying because of having to apply vuln every 6s and teleport every 4s while rotating through 6 other attacks and 2 buffs; Magik is annoying because you have to watch the buff box to see how many stacks of Vengeful Spirit you have; X-23's movement build was interesting, but my wrist said no thanks to the incoming RSI after a couple hours.

Ditch the midtown ring for a danger room ring and then you just have to refresh teleportal when it wears off. You don't have to watch the buff bar for soul sever/vengeful spirit, the power lights up when you're at 5 stacks.
