From In The Heat of the Night? You're thinking of Paul Robinette. Not many roles over the years but I always liked him.
Im retarded btw, his name is Richard Brooks, Robinette was his character in Law and Order. And no he wasn't in In the Heat of the Night. From In The Heat of the Night?
I didn't make the connection before, but...yeah, this was sorta my problem with him, as well. He came off, to me, as less "biting and sarcastic" and more "douche". I don't think changing his character would have helped me to like those movies anyway, so I don't hate him or anything...it was just another reason among many not to like those movies.I didn't like him because he reminded me too much of Jean ralphio. It's superficial, but I just couldn't get passed it
Who the fuck said anything like that? Please, find the post(s) where people say the problem with him istoo muchwisecracking. In the first movie he did almost none of that, plus the action was shit the story was retarded the directing was awful the writing was atrocious and him as the character in general was immensely unlikeable.I liked him just fine, but the hate for him was rabid in the movie threads. Bitches trying to say Parker doesn't make jokes with every breath he takes, yet look in the comics, and yup, making jokes in damn near every panel.
yes and no... there's nothing wrong with a villain with a motive. personally i'm not a big fan of being evil for evil's sake. the problem is that most villain backstories are just cliched and contrived. I'm not saying that characters like hannibal lector are being evil for evil's sake... his perspective is that he's the hero. he's a broken person and that's fine. i just don't want a villain that knows he's the villain and embraces it.Problem with most comic book villans these days is that they all have to be conflicted or have a relatable reason for being the villan... we need more psychopath bad for the sake of bad guys less I'm dying/revenge/for my peoples/I was ignored villans
Every now and then that's EXACTLY what I want.i just don't want a villain that knows he's the villain and embraces it.
