They're keeping that well under wraps except for the knowledge that DD & P get all angsty with one another. Still two and a half months away.

That trailer didn't really show much of anything. It was the ceiling of a church, with scenes from (what I assume) season 1 DD painted on the ceiling. They would focus on a painted picture and have dialogue play, then go to the next ceiling picture and have different dialogue play. All the while, there's a shadowy figure much closer to the camera kind of moving around on the floor. Possibly in pain.

It was a teaser trailer if anything, even if it was 1:39 long.

Originally there were 4 series announced. DD, whatserface, Luke Cage, and Defenders. I have enjoyed the first 2 so far, so bring more on I say.

Iron Fist is still not 100% confirmed as a series yet until they are in production.

I still believe the rumors are true that Iron Fist would cost them too much money to produce so they are planning on a Netflix Movie with that character, and Punisher will be the fill in series.

I can see this. There is so much going on in Iron Fist that it would be damn near impossible to do the show without a massive budget. Personally, I'd almost rather have a Punisher series anyways.

You are correct then Ukerric, I am in correct.

I always thought Power man, and Iron Fist was planned as a joint series ,but that article says otherwise.

As much as I would like to see an Iron Fist show, I'm still not sure how they are going to do it yet without just making it a movie. He brings in so many special effects.

IMO it would be best for them to give him his own movie, and make it transition to say a 4 episodic movie for defenders.

Still sounds like a shit load of money.

The deal is for four 13 episode shows (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist) which will come together in a 4 or 8 episode mini series (The Defenders). The deal was for $200M which if we assume is split evenly between 60 episodes put the cost of each show at about $3.3M per.Sep 23, 2014
3.3 million is pretty standard, and they aren't shot in Canada like the CW shows. Not to mention they do a shit load of location shooting which destroys any budget.

To put in perspective, each Got episode cost 6-8 million, and something like Big Bang costs 2 million.

You put a healthy dose of CG work into that budget, and you destroy it.

To be fair Big Bang's per episode cost is all about paying the stars. The top three stars stand to make $300 million over the next three years.

As is most Sitcoms. The point being the Marvel Netflix shows have a normal budget for something like this, not an inflated budget like some may assume.
