I'm a solutions engineer and have weekly meetings with corporate (VPs, directors, etc) where I Have to present, along with the idea that at any moment I could be called to meet with them. For me I think dressing nice and being noticed is a good thing. This is a highly visible position.Careful not to overdress. If an engineer who is seldom called to meet with any management walks into a meeting ad hoc in a tailored shirt, mgmt might draw the conclusion he is a schmuck trying to impress someone. For this guy, I would suggest having a warbrobe that gives the impression of being well dressed while drawing no attention and being completely forgettable.
It's easy! You drop the shirts off at a cleaner and pay them $3 a shirt to do it for you. They come out perfect every time!I still don't know how to iron correctly. I know how to iron technically correctly, but that came from the military, which is very different than businesswear. I am pretty sure I look like an asshole to people like you. I iron the crease down the sleeves of my shirts;( We were taught that in boot camp and I had no idea until literally now reading your post that I wasn't supposed to do that.
Sweet thanks, I need some new shirts.Charles Tyrwhitt is having a big sale on dress shirts with lots for only 29.50 (regularly $160) with $9.95 shipping. Some of the ones I ordered are on back-order until the end of the month but I don't really care.
