I restarted with all melee, and one rune priest. Now I'm doing much better then the group they assign you.

Got a really good blue 2hander from the spider queen.

I wish this was a mmo, it gives me that EQ feels.
I just bought this last night but what does a rune priest do? I'm using the standard issue party but swapped out the ranger for a blademaster. Not sure if I like the way the mage gels with the team.

Just need to use the plate that appeared with a previous plate , some get used multiple times. But you always need to use the new plate that appears when the pillars drop with a different one. But anyone know how i can figure out the name for the switch in Tomb of 1000 terrors , there is 3 plaques with clues im assuming in a room over. But not sure if that relates to the switch?

im also not sure what a runepriest is? Right now i run 2 2-hander barbs for dps, a druid who is doing celestial armor and regen, and a freemage that also does celestial armor but some dps as well.

So im in the den of thieves and theres a trap with two gears that flash on the wall - im just not able to open this thing. I saw a video where a guy tried several times and then managed to open it. Is this a might check or something else?

I'm not sure yet Tenks, I'm currently at the naga tower so haven't gotten that far yet.

I assume he heals at some point, right now he just shields, hits things with his spear, and fireballs bitches.

That's about as far as I've gotten. RPs are casters, and can certainly be a healer if you spec them into Light. Their fireballs are boss though!

Anyone completed the tomb/ruin that is over in the desert near the Crag area that has all the pressure plates on the ground that lower the big columns in the middle of the room, eventually(I assume) giving you access to the treasure?

I can't figure that shit out for anything, I ran all over the room and just randomly lowered a few of them, but I can't figure out any actual pattern at all. Anyone know the pattern, or know of a guide/site for finishing it. Seems like I only have maybe 2 or 3 more parts to lower and i'll be done, but that shit is driving me mad.

This is what I love about this game so far.

That, and there is shit for spoilers on the web.

My first team of Druid, Merc, Crusader, and Bladedancer got smacked hard by the end boss of the Lighthouse, but I also didn't realize I had to go back and buy spells. Going to do that tonight, and I think I'm going to smack around the big Naga pretty good.

there are three kinds of hidden door "traps", ones with gears one with deer antlers and one with ummm i forget. each one's sucess rate is based on a different stat, I believe magic for the gears one, might for the deer antlers, and something else for the third. basically melee, casters, and ??. the easiest thing is to quicksave, then try to open it, if you fail you take like 80% dmg but nothing else happens (the trap doesn't get destroyed or summon mobs). then reload and try again. once I got one of my characters to like 20 or 25 in each stat I was able to open all the various kinds without ever failing.

you have to always have the detect secrets spell running though while in dungeons, and your character will say something like "somethings around here" to warn you. unfortunately once you open a trap the person keeps saying it, so as you run back and forth over some of the same dungeons it gets confusing as hell.

Yeah, I can't remember the last time I played an RPG when there wasn't a full walkthrough available online in the first few days. Looks like M&M 10 flew far enough under the radar that there's not a whole lot of info out there on it. Feels good to figure shit out on your own, like all the screwy riddles and puzzles. That was the only one that had thoroughly stumped me so far. I guess instead of trying to sort out a pattern I just need to trial and error all the possible combinations(that'll be tedious)

That, and I guess the release day patch really changed a lot of things on it. Even NPC locations and stuff was changed. So there's a lot of info out there that is bad.

Welp im stuck right now.

Finished the lighthouse and Thieves den.

Seahaven will not let me through, and I only found 3 places I'm way too low for.
Cyclops cave, Shadow Dragon Cave, and 2 really powerful Banshees guarding something.

Whole map has been explored, so it must be some kind of quest I'm missing in town or something.

Yeah it's a common block, it's poorly made to be honest. On the top floor of the castle, there's a door that opened in the north east corner, Lev is there with a griffin and can take you to the elemental forge. Once you've done that the way opens to seahaven act2. To be honest he should be on the same screen as the other guys, after you're done he is so you can always go back to the elemental forge without having to go to 3rd floor, not sure why he isn't right away.

The answer is given at the end of the dungeon, not when you find it, so yeah it's weird, you have to backtrack to do it. In case you don't want to and didn't google it yet, it's
Erebos
.

im not even entirely sure he did the castle? he didnt say den, lighthouse AND castle.
so, if pyros answer didnt tell you what to do, go back and talk to the captain in the garrisonm, that sent you to spider cave, lighthouse, etc in the first place.

I almost finished it as well - the earlier ones seemed to be that you hit two panels and it would lower the pillar that was between them for the pattern - but once you get to the last couple I just couldn't find a combination that worked.

It's intended to backtrack to get that correct once you hit the end of the dungeon but here it is if you want it

He shows there once he's been dealt with one time technically.

Yeah , once i got to that point i assumed that was the answer. Although did not go back to grab it....is it a relic like a one handed axe by chance or new staff could use a new one though at this point in the game im just rolling over crap with my Scout/Crusader/Runepriest and Druid. That water shield buff has to be bugged i think . once i put that up i take like zero dmg from anything kinda cheesy really.

Just started this. Really should have bought it at the reduced pre-order price, but whatever, I was broke at the time.

Not a fan at all of the highly restrictive race/class selection thing, but other than that I'm very much liking it, and looking forward to delving into it more!

Oh that, and the fact that apparently when I quit, Uplay is still running after I close it, and when I try to run MMX again it just says it's already running. Fucking wtf? Uplay blows.

Yo dawg, I heard you like steam, so we put a steam in your steam so you can steam while you steam.
