Damn some of you guys are amazing painters.
I will readily admit painting anything Nurgle-themed is like cheating. You can make a complete mess and it can all look like everything went according to plan. I look up to the folks here that can actually pull off a clean style without having to resort to a ton of washes.

Warcry. Skirmish-level AOS. Great game. Really streamlined and simple-looking, but a ton of tactical depth under the surface.
Ah ok used to play that, but kind of never got the glow up KT got so haven't kept tabs on it.

RNG makes me way less tilted in a game like Warcry that takes 45minutes, enjoyable

Going to re-open my hobby room soon to chill and paint my Warhammer guys thats been neglected during summer. My eyesight is really bad now though, I can't see shit when close to an object. It really got way worse since last year.

Ordered these today but not sure how good they will work, 1.5-4.5 magnify range it seems.

Not as prolific as Khalan but it's been a good year. Almost forgot to post up the projects I did in the last part of the year. Warcry stuff including the start of a new warband and a lot of terrain to end the year, plus a decent amount still in work.

Gonna have to take a break soon for a move but hope I can keep up the momentum in 2025.

It's embarassing to post this here in the same page as the stuff posted above, but it's one of my first few "miniature" paintings (this one's not actually as small as the regular miniatures, it's actually 4 inches tall because I printed it myself and I can't see well enough to paint smaller stuff really).

A while back I made a lot of EQ characters in HeroForge and purchased a few 3D files off the site to print them myself, tried out a PLA print on my new Bambu Lab A1 of Dain Frostreaver IV, the king of the Coldain in Scars of Velious.

Below is the NPC in-game, the HeroForge model I'd designed (which was a bit of my own interpretation of the character), and the painted result.

While the paint scheme is probably extremely simple due to the old game model's simplistic design, I'm happy with the dry brushing to give the armor a frosted appearance, and I'm also quite happy with how the Velium on the battle axe blades and the crown came out. I added the scar across the eye on the painted figure since that's not possible in HeroForge. Obviously a whole lot of room for improvement on future paint jobs.

WIP, needs another wash in places. Thought it looked great but it looks a lot worse under bright lights, especially where mistakes have been fixed with too thick paint.

I've created the brownest Space Marine with my Phobos Librarian. Used the base technical mud paint on the cloak to make it camoflaged.

Lighting can be so annoying. I spent a weekend highlighting and blending. Only to late discover under normal lighting you couldn’t differentiate the shades of blue at all.

I need to get back into painting. Problem is all the armies I am interested in are full of sculpts that are beyond expiration date, so no point buying anything.

One or two mistakes to clean up but pretty happy with them. Fixed a bunch of stuff on the Librarian I posted with washes and dry brushing.

those looks nice

I was running him with the eliminators for a while which was cute but the real pain in the ass I brought with the phobos lib was running him with the incursors in vanguard spearhead

I just want Grey Knights to get all new kits. I have wanted to make an army of them for a long time, but have delayed ever since primaris rescale started because the old kits are just midgets.

I think this is beyond my painting ability, but slowly getting there...

Got to fix mistakes then do the weapons, then washes and bases.

If you haven't seen the 40k Thread, it's x6 Bladeguard, x1 Bladeguard Ancient and x1 Lieutenant.

Used 3 Bladeguard, 5 Sternguard and Horus Heresy Invictarius Suzerain Sheilds, Helms and Shoulders.

With Calgar and his 2 guards it's basically going to end up being a 10 man Bladeguard Squad.
