This is where you trim it down, cover it in green stuff, then carve it a little to give some texture. Then do a less than perfect paint job so it blends in to the rest of the outfit.

Any favorites for 40k commissioned painters. Toying with getting a few models like new blade guards etc for a shelf drive i don't play and will never have time to get good enough for display piece painting.

Our just go find stuff I like floating on ebay

Khalan Khalan is a local commission guy that does some sick shit. Plenty of his stuff posted in this thread to check out.

I got a model commissioned from Khalan Khalan and everything was handled professionally. Communication was great, pricing was good, model was painted exactly to specifications. Can't recommend him enough.

Kind of disappointed your package didn’t come back with pics of Shelly’s tits or achymos butthole honestly. Not sure if I’ll recommend him again if he’s just giving standard professional services.

Part of my payment was old white guy butthole pics. Not sure why he wanted them but whatever....

Those are dope. I feel like I'm going from newb, to decent painter. Next is fairly good, and then eventually I'll be able to do stuff like that. Grimdark, outside the box, conversions with a cool and unique aesthetic

Was looking around today to spend my Xmas money and saw elegoo mars 3 was released recently. 4k and bigger size etc.

What would you say is a must accessory to get if decide to order one. You mentioned a better build plate earlier for one.

Also what kind of resin is best? Standard, strong? Water based or not?

Elegoo wash and cure station worth getting?

A wham bam magnetic plate for the build plate. There are other brands too, I have wham bam and know it’s good so I’m recommending that. Don’t even do a print without one.

Get water washable photopolymer. Elegoo sells it under their brand, works great.

I don’t think the washing stashing is needed, it’s just a bucket. You can just rinse prints with water in the sink. Wash the resin into a bowl, cure the washed resin in the sun.

The UV curing station is great cause it cures prints evenly and in minutes but it’s not necessary. The sun does the same thing, but weather, cloudy days, etc. results can vary. I have the elegoo mercury curing station and it’s nice.

Thanks! Will see what plates they have. Seems it's updated on the new model though but not sure what quality it is.

I've added this so far inte the cart. Might change the mercury to one for half price that is just for curing.

(Remove a zero for freedom bucks)

Yeah there are a lot of plates, you just have to match your mag plate size to your build plate size.
