9:56pm: Bob Nightegngale of USA Today tweets that Garcia is indeed headed to the White Sox.

9:54pm: Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports talked to an executive who is speculating that the White Sox will receive Avisail Garcia (Twitter link). Jim Bowden of ESPN and MLB Network Radio agrees, though he notes that Garcia to the White Sox is unconfirmed. Garcia was pulled from his game at Triple-A Toledo tonight. Rosenthal tweets that more names are coming.

9:48pm: Iglesias is headed to Detroit, according to Danny Knobler of CBS Sports (Twitter link). He will provide the Tigers with insurance at shortstop in the event of a Biogenesis suspension for Jhonny Peralta.

9:46pm: It's a three-team deal involving the Tigers as well, according to Alex Speier of WEEI.com. Iglesias is indeed in the trade, while Jackie Bradley Jr. is not.

9:37pm: The Red Sox and White Sox have agreed to a trade that will send Jake Peavy to Boston, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports (Twitter link). Jose Iglesias is believed to be headed to Chicago in the trade, Heyman reports in a separate tweet.

All but done... Sounds like BoSox want a look at Peavy's medical records first.

Good trade all around. Red Sox needed a starter pretty bad with Buchholz a huge question mark. Sox selling high on Igesias he's never hit a lick until this season. His babip average was off the charts at the end of June. He's come back to earth since, but that glove is Ozzie Smith like.

Personally I think the Tigers are getting the short end of the stick giving up Garc?a even up. Not by a ton mind you but it's still uneven in my eyes and shows they must be pretty desperate to fill that slot quickly.

Hearing Boston is going to throw in another player, and our farm is quite deep. Not sure if he goes to Detroit, or CHW though.

Edit: Villareal is headed to Boston from Detroit as well.

@nickcafardo: Villarreal is likely being sent to Boston. Maybe other minor league players involved.

I think the Tigers botched this, wow. Iggy will probably be there a decade, but they gave up to much.

Need the Rangers to show the same life they've had the last couple of days playing the Angels. Not just one but two walk off wins on homers. I have a feeling the ride from here to the end of September is going to be a roller coaster.

Their RISP is abysmal. They rely far too much on power. They've improved on the home run or bust style of ball since the All Star break, but they only seem to score runs in bursts. This means they're likely to go on a tear soon and drop 16 runs on some unsuspecting opponent. Hopefully it ends up being the Cardinals this weekend.
