When I posted about Greinke's streak a few days back I didn't realize that Kershaw is running on a 20 inning scoreless streak too. Shit... they are in early/mid 90s Atlanta Braves territory at moment with that staff and no titles. It should be interesting to see how it pans out.
This is a pretty amazing stat too:
Greinke: 19 GP, 18 QS, 9-2, 8.02 K/9, 0.82 WHIP, 131.1 IP
Kershaw 19 GP, 16 QS, 7-6, 11.95 K/9, 0.98 WHIP, 131.0 IP
Those two are work horses.

I'd say watch out for the Tribe. The past four seasons they have had second half runs in each season that have been pretty damn amazing and with that staff they could make some noise.

I should have done something similar. I'm an Astros fan and they change from Astros to Braves at the county line/river which I can see from my house. Less than 3-400 feet. It sucked.

To piggyback on my earlier post, Kershaw throws a complete game shut out so he runs his streak to 29.0 innings now to go along with Greinke's streak. It must be nice to be a Dodgers fan at the moment with those two studs.

Have we ever seen a pitcher with better statistics at this point in his career? Pedro came to mind but even he wasn't this damn good at this point:

I can't think of anyone else in the past thirty years of my life but perhaps one of you will. It's pretty remarkable what this guy has been able to do in his first seven years and the ND/Losses he has taken due to offensive support.

Kershaw's run reminds me a lot ofJohan Santana'srun early in his career, but even a little better. People forget how good Santana was during his stretch from 2004-2008ish.
Kershaw is doing Martinez, Maddux, Clemens, Koufax type things. He is well on his way to being a Top 10, maybe Top 5 pitcher all-time. I think he will age incredibly well due to his multiple pitches. Remember in high school playing in a tournament that his Highland Park (Dallas) team played in. Thank god he pitched the game before we played that team, hitters looked so helpless.
Hernandez is also doing some big time things as well in Seattle, definitely two of the better pitchers to ever play.

Great ballplayers from that area as we clashed with that region in tournaments fairly often when I played. Who else did you end up playing against or facing?

Mostly I just wanted to compare it for myself after seeing the stat line. And to get a laugh out of Francisco's record. None of them is quite up there with Greinke or Kershaw, obviously.
Also Pirates made the Aramis Ramirez deal. So...yay I guess. He's back 100 years later.
I am still amazed that UCLA didn't win the title with Cole and Bauer as their 1 and 2. Cole has been excellent and Bauer has shown signs here and there.
