*raises hand*. Not a New Yorker, but a Grandfather of mine had known the Mantle family in Oklahoma, so it rubbed off on me.
I also follow the Rangers really closely because I used to have some relationships to ex-players, and ex-Front Office guys. Sadly, those days have passed and I rarely get free tickets or access to facilities anymore. A lot of my enjoyment of sports, and baseball in general comes from the team-building aspect, so watching what Chris Young has done as GM over the last two years in Arlington, has been pretty fun.

This news only helps push Ohtani to look to other teams. There is rumors LA has gotten calls from the Mets already. Really hope they let loose of him, organization is a joke for not being able to field a winning team around him and Trout.
I haven't watched a game since mid May, just look at the scores the day after.

It doesn't help that seemingly every FA signing they make, turns out to be the worst contract of all-time. Pujols, Cozart, Hamilton, Upton, now Rendon. Definitely some bad luck, but yeah.
This organization desperately needs to start fresh. It's just not working.
I know it's unfathomable to trade the modern day Mickey Mantle, but capitalize now and trade both of them, and you'd immediately replenish your farm system in a way that would allow you to almost be retarded, and still be truly competitive in 3 years.

Yeah, he's good. Borderline "really good".
He's not quite on the elite tier of say, Scherzer, deGrom, Verlander etc... He's right below that. Definitely a good pickup. He was the biggest pitching trade piece out there, and the Mariners moved quickly.
Sure sounds like Soto is going to be traded with the Padres, Cardinals, Dodgers, and Rangers being the favorites.
