I didn't say he would, just curious to know who might have pursued him. Aside from being the one to break the Asterisks story I've heard announcers referring to him by name mid-game and now you sometimes see coaches and umps holding a hand in front of their mouths during on-field conversations. If baseball wasn't half dead he'd have a helluva lot more than 1.5m subs on YT.

I gotta say on the Yankees, with how well everyone is doing the most drastic change (esp defensively) has been catcher which really illustrates just how much of a liability Gary Sanchez was all these years. I also can't remember the last time they had this kind of starting pitching effectiveness.

The starting pitching has been crazy good. You get Severino back, and Nestor the Molester all the sudden becomes an ace type pitcher - it makes your team a lot better. Defense was improved by a switch at catcher, and IKF at shortstop. It's a deeper team, with really great pitching right now. The two TJ surgeries for Green & Gil will hurt a bit, and the lineup is still a bit unbalanced, but they finally have the upside to win a title. Question is, will they hit and keep the arms healthy when it matters most?
