I wouldn't be so quick to go that route though. I think you try to super reliever him at like 80-100 innings per year of just mega dominant relief pitching. He'd be insanely valuable that way.

A second surgery isn't a 100% career killer, but it also isn't a good thing. It will have a big effect on contract offers, but he has obviously shown that the hitter is still 100% capable. Lots of people dumped his cards after the news, prices took a big hit, but they bounced and bit and have held since. The key is for him to go to a playoff/championship competitive team. That is the main gold of any player's career, and like you said he isn't done as a pitcher and there are fielding options too.

I can only hope that the Halo's "We're all in" turning into a circus will be the motivator for him to get out now.

Don’t have a vested interest in either team, beyond Kimbrel and any players on my fantasy team, but god it’s great watching the Phillies curb stomp the Padres 8-1 and we’re still in the top of the second
