The support from fans in comments is good, but isn’t an ACL tear one of those types of injuries that changes an athletes performance permanently? Lux may be aware of this, hence the emotional interview.

It can hamper future athleticism. Then again, it's a pretty common injury now. Kinda like Tommy John, he should fully recover after 2 years. One year to fully play again. An additional year for him to have peak performance in his leg again. When athletes come back from an ACL, they generally take two years to "look like themselves" - unless you're Adrian Peterson.

Knee itself takes a year or less these days typically. Mental recovery to trust the knee is person dependent.

Which I would guess is harder for football players than baseball players. Typically baseball players just aren't making those same cuts, and bending in weird ways like football players do. Who knows though.

The year two of recovery is generally an "explosiveness" thing. Luckily for Lux that shouldn't be a huge hamper, maybe basepath speed and pure defensive range, aside.

Sixteen stitches, nothing broken. Bleeding from the face/head almost always looks much worse than it is due to how vascular the head is.

Pitcher's and catcher's could put 1 Airpod Pro in their ear on transparency mode and the issue is fixed. Fuckin A, this is some 3rd world problem shit and it must be baffling to Manfred and his gang of retards.
