Great job by Flaherty, 5 shutout innings getting them to the 6th.

Man that was almost an all time bass running blunder until Freddie just fucking boomed them.

Yanks lost themselves that game; terrible defensive blunders: Verdugo on Bagel Eater's 3B, Soto and Gleyber on what should've been Ohtani being thrown out at 2nd, Cabrera's back-hand whiff. Tsk tsk.

Great first game.

Plus, Aaron Boone is just God-awful. Nestor the Molester who hasn't pitched in well over a month, who throws with absolutely zero velocity, and they throw down and in which everyone on the planet knows is Freeman's wheelhouse.

That game was not good for my blood pressure. Every time we scored the Yankees answered. Cole pitched lights out. Flaherty was shaky with a high pitch count but somehow managed to get away with it until he didn’t. We stranded so many runners.

And yet……once the Yanks had to go to their bull pen I immediately began feeling better lol. Still, we squandered a lot of scoring opportunities. The fan interference call and the Ohtani foul ball that was caught were both WTF moments where we weren’t sure what the hell was going on.

Then the Freeman homer….oh man, talk about electric. I’m never gonna forget that moment, the whole place was rocking.

Getting a win against Cole is huge. Hope we can keep our momentum up for tomorrow.

As an individual would you rather have a walk-off grand slam in the world series and go on to lose or would you rather win while not making much of a difference to the outcome?

Wow, what an ending, glad I watched. Definitely no Dodgers fan but watching Yankees fans lose is always fun. FF and Ohtani are also worth rooting for. Hopefully we get to a Game 7.

Probably be a more difficult choice if you hadn't already won a world series. You know they'd all give the team based answer but who knows the truth.
