Not gonna lie, but I thought Costa would do better. I wasn't sure if he'd win, or if he'd snap Israel in half, but I didn't think it would be so lopsided. I thought he had a chance if he could tie him up and get it to the ground, but...yeah. Just let him strike you the entire match. Good plan. /golf clap

...I'm not saying that getting him down and winning the ground game would be easy, but SMDH

I respect the guy, he really seems like he's in it for the sport. You can tell he grew up wanting to be what we all thought Anderson was. Asking for Yoel, always wanting to fight the most dangerous guy, that stuff about weight penalty being 90% and now the clip about drunk fans. Seems like he's there to showcase and respect the sport.

The alternative of course being Mac throwing chairs and shilling whiskey just to make more money.

Izzy is just that. In the sport for the right reasons. Who knows how much longer he'll do it for before he begins to slow down but it feels good to have that caliber of fighter to watch every few months. I'm a huge Jon Jones fan and he used to be like that. It was an overall good weekend for fight fans imo. It's like HW hit the reset button and once Jon has his first fight there it'll get interesting. The next LHW title fight could be Jan vs. Glover - a 37 yr old vs a 40+ yr old. Izzy has made the 185 division feel like Jones at 205..is there anyone for him? Izzy being that young and that good could spell for a MW crown and LHW crown. Good year for fights and finding out whose on the way out and whose new.

Izzy is weird though. He is supremely confident, which is awesome and one of the reasons he is where he is today. But with all that confidence comes a certain level of hubris. He comes off too cocky sometimes, and its cringe worthy when he adds in silly antics. Maybe he does that to get into his opponents head, but to the fan it looks childish and is beneath him.

He is a very articulate guy, very smart. He should continue to mature as he gets older, I mean as of now he is a legit ambassador for the sport, you can tell he respects the game. He just has these strange moments of immaturity. Either way the guy is dynamite in the cage.

really don't care for Izzy and rest of the MW's really have not impressed me in a while. Cannonier/Whittaker might be good, depending on well Cannonier healed from his torn pec. apparently there is talk of Yoel going back to LHW, might as well try something 1-4 isn't going to cut it.

The interview with Costa's manager just fucking blew my mind.

He claimed the game plan was to take it easy for the first two rounds, then pour it on in the last three. Never mind that's a complete and total lie...1) Why in the fuck would you let a striker like Israel tool you up for two rounds BEFORE getting serious? Did the Diaz brothers come up with that plan? Did they tell him to just facetank 5rds of damage, or something? 2) why wouldn't you just take him down early and rape him with your bjj game? Why not tire him out for a few rounds first?

And the entire thing about how Costa is now 'super mad and offended' at Israel for giving him the doggystyle treatment...if there's anything he should be ashamed about, it's about getting beat that badly. And now they're talking like they want a rematch?

And of course he's not going to LHW now. It would look like he was fleeing a division and conceding to Israel.

Him humping Costa in the ring was pretty funny, and that would of been cool if he just stopped there. But...he didnt. he then went over to Costa's coach and told him "I cum all over you!" while mimicking jerking off.

edit: Also, speaking of rematch, Costa said he now wants one due to Adesanya humping him after he was stopped. LOL.
