Gane/Volkov was a hard fight to score, really surprised it went to decision.

Guess people a bitching but I don't see it being controversial

Damn, that Rizin champ got man handled. Shows a statement for UFC competition. Was rooting for him so Im not surprised with the outcome

As far as rooting for the last few cards I'm like 3-20 maybe worse lol. Not saying they would win, just was rooting

Where was the check for Ngannou? Don't come up with that PR bullshit that it was about a fighters union either. If he was offered 20m he would have signed. They offered him win-incentives to where he would need to beat Jon Jones and keep winning in order to see 8m total from his contract offer.

Come with 30m's and Ngannou signs. The division lost legitimacy soon as they let Ngannou walk.

Now spending 30m to desperately put on a fight nobody asked for against a guy with a fake belt and another guy holding a fake belt.

$30m? Huh?

Hasn't the UFC done like $10m, once? For Connor or someone?

believe conor and ronda are the only 2 to ever have a base pay for $3m or more. iirc rogan said after being champ conor has not earned under $12-15m per fight and could have made more than $30m from the khabib fight.

My thoughts on the $30 mil figure is the brass at UFC likely saw what is possible with the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson event on Netflix and now that doesn't seem like too much money to pay Jones. It definitely wouldn't be the same caliber event as your typical numbered PPV.

another story said " window to negotiate is exclusive with ESPN/Disney from Jan. 15 to April 15"

if would really help the ufc to put on some banger cards while working out new contacts. they already said going to be fewer events at apex this year.

really don't like the idea on them putting on more events, especially with the talk of adding another women's division.

Glad they finally figured that out after lowballing Ngannou and dumpstering the division.
