Great showing by brown, as usual, but I can't help but think silva is ridiculously overated by everyone. We always here how great the guy is, but he lasts about 2 minutes then gets wrecked by anyone who outlasts that. Not impressed really with him at all.

Apparently Silva was taken out of the arena on a gurney to the hospital. One does not simply withstand 2 1/2 rounds of brutalization via Matt Brown and walk away it seems.

Silva is a victim of his style, he goes out there to end fights balls deep. Against lesser competition he smashes people impressively. Then against better competition who can endure the frenzy, he wilts. The guy has what it takes to finish most of his division, but if he can't get it quickly, he has used up all his energy and gets beaten in awesome fashion.

Card was pretty damn great top to bottom. I had pretty high expectations based on the match ups and it really exceeded them.

Holy shit, the huge thumb on that costume is amazing. Really takes it over the top.

Here's the mortician collecting Silva.

A remake of a 25 year old Van Damme movie with a worse and less charismatic actor with a thicker accent. I mean, you have to make something like that if you have the chance.

What an amazing card this past weekend. Matt Brown's 7 win run is one of the most exciting things going in MMA today. I would love for him to get a title shot and a big paycheck, but it seems a lot more likely that he gets the winner of Ellenburger/Lawler or Woodley/MacDonald or Lombard.

I'd pay for a PPV with these guys headlining over any of the current champs. Favorite fighters of all time:
1. Joe Lauzon
2. Matt Brown
3. Chris Lytle (retired)
