Tito dragged him to the canvas and then basically had his way with him.

MMA fighters need to fucking learn some arm triangle defense. Unless your opponent has a HUGE strength advantage you should be in nearly 0 danger. So many guys just fucking lay there.

Reaching under your own leg and then pushing your leg to the mat relieves all the choking pressure. If the person going to the triangle insists on it he will burn his arms out.

I was wondering why he wasn't answering the phone, which is the classic defense for arm triangles. The arm under the leg defense prevents you from getting choked out, but getting your hand on your ear means all you have to do is shrimp away to break the grip, even on a REALLY strong guy.

Good decisions tonight. The fight went to the guy that I thought won the last two fights in terms of damage and aggression, not just wrestlefucking to the mat for 5 rounds.

True but in a MMA fight with rounds you can sit there and burn your opponent out. Dude thinks hes got it and applies all the force he can. Answering the phone doesn't impose counter pressure. When you reach under the leg like that it forces their shoulder out so they have to squeeze harder. And the escape is just as easy. I would hold and press for a bit and let the person burn out and then attempt an escape.

Either way, be proactive, don't just lay there like a tool. Even if your brain dead, fucking bride bridge bridge so they cant settle.

Well, Schlemenko is a medium/small middleweight and Tito is a large Light Heavy. Tito naturally probably has a good 30lbs+ of muscle on him. Not that he attempted any real defense, just saying the ridiculous size difference was there.

Overall review of the card: *yawn*

Brooks/Chandler was pretty snoozy. Page/Mo was snoozy. Tito beat up a tiny guy. At least Volkov/Ivanov was pretty good, and I did not expect a Volkov submission win there.

King Mo calling Bjorn out was funny. "Yo dickridin' ass!"

edit: BTW Chandler on the ground was a fuckin' embarrassment. It was like he was trying to get submitted and Brooks wouldn't fall for it or something. Shit was ridiculous.

Also according to Bjorn when Eddie gets healthy he can fight Chandler instead of Brooks if he wants. Yeah, that Interim belt is very important...
