Korean military service is mandatory for 100% of all males in Korea from ages 18-35, i believe it is a 2 year term, you will be called and serve, almost no one is exempt except for olympians and they tell you 2 weeks before you're supposed to report in (so you don't have time to dodge it, but enough time to get your affairs in order). I only know this cuz wife watches korean dramas.

Cain hasn't fought in over a year. And he hasn't fought anyone by JDS and Bigfoot in 3 years. Shit's old.
Yes, it is quite old. I know injuries happen, and there isn't anything the UFC can do to avoid it, but man it is hurting them. You can't have your champions sidelined for such long periods of time and expect people to stay interested. Sucks.

Hunt is notoriously susceptible to submissions, and he is getting in the ring with one of the best HW submission artists on the planet. I don't see the standing brawl we all hope for.

Hunt says

"Don't think I [hestitated]," he said. "Only challenge is making weight."

Hunt weighed 137 kg (302 pounds) when he was officially offered the fight on Tuesday, meaning he'll need to lose 37 pounds before the weigh-in on Nov. 14.

Hunt, who weighed 264 pounds prior to his Sept. 20 win over Roy Nelson in Japan, said he had a bit of trouble making weight prior to the fight but doesn't seem concerned about hitting the 265-pound mark come next month in Mexico City.

Why do they even need to cap the HW at 265? too many awesome fights to cram in larger dudes? oh wait....

Yeah, but I'm hoping that Hunt isn't in a hurry to get Fedor'ed and can be patient.

This feels like one of those fights where a lot of people are going to root for Hunt to push Werdum's face in even though the odds are probably in Werdum's favor. I'd hate to wager on this fight because I want to see Hunt win it.

This is an utterly fantastic performance by Phil Davis, he has NEVER looked this good against top 5 opposition.

Hell of a first round. Thinking that late shot could have fucked things up for Chad though.

Edit: Looks like Chad recovered from that shot between rounds.

Totally missed this PPV, but I'm impressed as hell that Phil Davis got a unanimous 30-27 decision over Glover Teixeira considering how hot Glover has been. Wish I'd caught the fight.

Was wrestle rape to the extreme
But in a good way. Davis has never been able to use his wrestling against anyone in the Top 5, which is why Rashad and Rumble made him look like a tool. He wasn't even all that effective against Machida who was way smaller than him. The fact that he was able to do what he did to Texeira really impresses me. Calling out Anderson was all kinds of wtf though.

Haven't watched main card yet, but here's something fun from Scott Jorgensen's twitter.
