Unless DC has some goggles, JJ may win via eye poke, but I honestly expected JJ to have a training injury and avoid the fight altogether.
JJ completely stopped Glover Teixeira's offense with eyepokes - constantly doing those hands to the face / fingers in the eyes while backing up any time Glover tried to close the distance to strike or attempt a take down. I would expect DC to be more aggressive and/or try to duck under it.
I can appreciate the skill that JJ displays in the ring, but he really comes off as a dick and one of the most natural heels in the UFC.
And on that note, the refs are horrible at doing their job to prevent eye pokes from happening - I think I have seen 1 point deduction from a ref the entire year and it was due to low blows which are a lot less of a problem because fighters already have protection options even if most of them do not take proper precautions.

I can't remember if it was here or on FOH, but I remember us having a fairly long debate as to whether JJ was actually a dbag or not. A lot of people at the time argued that he was just a dbag because'people weren't showing him the respect he deserved'or something similar. So here we are again, and I still feel like he's a dbag and I'm not sure the 'people don't respect him' argument holds up.

I want to say it was over on FoH for the JJ conversation. I'm in the camp that he's always been a d-bag, he's just a genetically and athletically gifted d-bag. That article (yeah holy shit was it long) just confirmed that stance and continued to make DC look like a class act for the most part. Though I will say that the writer spent a shitload of words describing scenery to reinforce that New Mexico is apparently a crappy state, which could probably have been trimmed to reduce the overall article length.
