Official statement: UFC lifts ban on Ariel Helwani, MMAFighting.com - Bloody Elbow
UFC lifting Helwani's ban already.

Damn, Grimm coming in cold hearted! It's crazy that Dana White would straight up murder Kimbo Slice to try and bury the Ariel reinstatement story...
Late to the party, but holy crap, Rockhold is a giant cock. Bisping was being brash as they exchanged verbal shots, yes, but he made peace offerings several times to allow both of them to finish like gentlemen. Bisping basically even said straight up that Rockhold was a better fighter and that he got lucky. Luke just couldn't let himself man up and take the olive branch. Right as the conference ended you can even see Bisping trying to shake his hand and Rockhold refusing. Luke is an awesome fighter and I really want to like him but he just acts like such smug, pretentious dill-weed.Sat down and listened to the entire 2 hour thing with Helwani. Kind of want my 2 hours back and feel like he could have summed it up in a couple of minutes, but it is what it is. I'm not really surprised that the UFC is that controlling, and I think we've all known that for years now.
I understand it has to be rough for him, but I thought about stopping this a couple of times, mostly due to getting tired of listening to him get choked up over a 2 our period.
This exchange ended with Bisping calling Rockhold a faggot, then saying "oops.. I shouldn't have said that" lolRight as the conference ended you can even see Bisping trying to shake his hand and Rockhold refusing.
Hardly. Breach of an NDA is a civil violation, not criminal (unless you're divulging some government secrets). It can't get you prison time. Depending on the NDA you might be subject to penalties specified in the wrongful termination section of your contract, or maybe damages if the other party sues. Generally, though, the other party just gets to say "fuck you" and that's the end of it.Breach of a legally binding contract. Semantics
Journalists always try to scoop because that's how they generate revenue. That's been the way of it for longer than any of us has been alive. They have to do that to sell newspapers, magazines, or ads on online sites. Journalists that don't scoop stories aren't very good journalists and expecting journalists to sit on stories and risk losing a scoop isn't very realistic. And Ariel even mentioned that he'd sat on a story or two before and let someone else pick it up later...but that translates into some other journalist and site benefiting from it.Well he's right. Scooping the story a couple of hours before the UFC announces it is nothing but self-promotion from Ariel. I still stand by my original post on the situation which is basically, don't bite the hand that feeds. Ariel got bitch slapped, everyone made up and now we'll still get solid reporting but fewer insider scoops.
