Seriously? I liked her fight for once, badass grappling match. But she's still just the female Giva Santana. Or Cody McKenzie. Or Paul Sass.

Who? Guys that won all their early fights with a single submission. Because they were better than their opponents by a wide margin. The difference between them and Rousey is they eventually ran in to REAL competition and suddenly couldn't dominate with a single move they perfected. That next level does not exist in women's MMA.

The depth and talent level is just not fucking there. Period.

Absolutely no doubt in my mind that it would have been better for the entire women's side of the sport had Carmouche actually got a sub with that neck crank/face smash/whatever the fuck it was.

The armbar win just shows that there's no one else on her level in her weight class, by a country mile. It would have even been better had Rousey gotten a KO or a decision or some shit.

She killed her own career with that arm bar, there's no one let to compete with.

Don't think the replacement fight is all that interesting, but good for Faber to stay busy I guess. I don't really care too much about the 125 class since it is pretty shallow as far as talent goes right now, so having the title fight put on hold doesn't bother me in the least. This is probably the least I have cared about an injury postponing a title fight.

My point is that if Rousey had gotten her ass kicked for 4 and a half rounds and triangle choked out Carmouche, we'd be thinking much differently about her today than we do now.

shrug cutlery if you watch the video fedor posted, you will see she really isn't a one trick pony, the Gracie brothers illustrate very nicely her defensive and offensive intelligence on the ground. it isn't "armbar lawl".

Your point in your previous post was that no one is on her level. Who is on Anderson's level? Silva vs. Sonnen I was pretty much discredited and barely even talked about anymore. Sonnen was on PEDs during that fight too.

Every few years, there comes a fighter that is a league ahead of everyone else and a game of catch up has to happen. It is a cycle that has been happening since UFC I.

Also, everyone is talking about how Rhonda was in so much trouble of losing that fight and may not be invincible. She struggled through adversity to accomplish that win, which even if it was only one round, it wasn't easy. That choke would've easily destroyed most people, physically and mentally.

I'm just disappointed she said she's going to wear a bigger bra next time. Watching to see whether her titties were going to pop out exponentially increased the excitement level of the fight.

I don't understand the Rousey arm bar hate. All of her opponents after the first 2 or 3 HAD to know what to work on. Especially Carmouche. The entire training camp should have been "STOP HER FROM ARMBARRING ME", and yet she still does it every time. Means she is damn good at it.

I can't disagree with you more on this. If WMMA is going to thrive it's needs that first true star and unfortunately for women in this sport their looks are going to be taken into account when their "star power" is considered. It would have been Gina if she had beat that dude so now it's Ronda.
