Yeah I was getting riled up about it, but then I had the thought that it was already an embarrassment for her to be fighting a 53 year old retired pro-wrestler in the first place and I suddenly don't really care.

I'm a BJJ brown belt. There's nothing magic about it. Tyson may not be a notable academic intellect, but he's an all-time great combat athlete. Give him 6-12 months of training in his prime an he'd be dismembering dudes based on his physical attributes alone. There's zero reason to think he couldn't have been a phenomenal grappler.

I believe this was a setup. Meaning Gabi was either told a different weight, or told it was open weight.
We'll see in the coming days what comes out from the press. But I remember some backstage leaks from Pride that there was another example of this somewhere....Rampage I believe spoke on it, they punked him on a weight cut early in his career. The promoters make promises to fighters and tell opponents fake stuff to get them to agree to the fight.

I've met Gabi through BJJ,. She's literally an ogre. That's by far the most flattering picture ever taken of her, and it must have taken every ounce of the photographer's skill and a talented makeup artist.
