Yeah I was really surprised.
Bisping won that fight and I'm glad that he won, but it's bullshit imo when you can eye rake someone and get away with it. Fighters that throw their lead hand out there with fingers in poke mode shouldn't be given 'accidental foul' rulings.
Really I think they should just have a midget watch the fight and if he sees that a fighter illegally strikes the other one ('accidental' or not) the midget gets to come in with a hammer and hit the offender based on how damaging the illegal blow is.

yeah eye pokes are really nasty and there are certain fighters who are pretty terrible about those open hands to the face.
Jake Shields was really bad about it versus GSP
John Jones really likes to do it defensively when he is getting punched or is backing up
Josh Kosheck is probably the worst offender I can think of - he does it constantly
I wonder if they have any regulations on maintaining short nails - I know several guys had problems with getting cuts from toenails and even infections from those when not properly taken care of.

Yeah it would. I love JJ but Chael winning a championship, especially at +500/-800, would blow my mind.
Chael also has the capability to expose a weakness of every tall lanky fighter except JJ (thus far): TDD. Tall people with a high center of mass are easier to put on their back and aren't good at being on their back. JJ has been amazing at TDD thus far, though.

Dunno why Rogan thought that was an early stoppage. All that was going to happen was Chael getting crushed to a fucking pulp from that position.
