Yup, I am trying to think of the last card that was this bad. Really disappointing overall.I didn't watch this card but reading about it it seems like the worst card in a long time.
Mazagatti may be terrible, but I didn't think Fitch was in all that much danger. I've never heard of anyone suffering long-term throat damage from a guillotine. It sucks ass in the moment, but a sore trachea for a few days or a pulled muscle is about the worst you get. The only serious risks I'm aware of are spinal injuries from falling on your head. (And yes, I train. I've given and received my share of guillotines of various flavors.)

Except, the other fighter voluntarily let Fitch go. If he had waited for Mazagatti to jump in, he could have held the choke much, much longer, potentially doing serious and permanent damage. The fighters safety is the #1 priority of the referees and Mazagatti failed hard. He should have been in there, feeling Fitch's limbs for response or trying to get some sort of cue from him.Mazagatti may be terrible, but I didn't think Fitch was in all that much danger.
