It was said during the press conference that he did NOT break his jaw.

Cain Velasquez thoroughly dominated Junior dos Santos at UFC 155 in Las Vegas on Saturday to regain the UFC heavyweight championship in a unanimous decision, but he apparently inflicted less pain on his opponent than initially believed.
Velasquez rocked JDS early in the fight and pretty much cruised thereafter. Many people felt like Cain could have attempted to finish dos Santos, but Velasquez was content to continue administering punishment while wearing out the Brazilian.
Dos Santos went to the hospital immediately after the fight, and UFC boss Dana White said he had heard the former champ broke his jaw in the second round. It turns out that claim was unfounded.
FOX Sports? A.J. Perez says dos Santos was discharged from the hospital without any injuries.

CBS Sports Network is going to air the Glory card on tape delay tomorrow starting at 10PM Eastern. Dream will be aired the next night at 10PM Eastern.

MMA-TV is going to air the Fight Network feed in about 15 mins.

You can also buy the event on Glory's website for $20 and watch it live in HD. Which is a good deal considering there are something like 27 fights scheduled.

Mirko vs some sumo guy who must have been training with Zaromskis, because he starts the fight with flying eyepoke.

Well hello there. Took me a while to find this place...

I really enjoyed the Glory tournament but it was anticlimactic as hell.

That is a savage counterpunch. One of the best things about MMA gifs is how they let you see just how insanely fast some of these guys reaction speeds are. To be able to bob out of line, load up like that and throw a real power punch with his hips in it like that in like a half of a second. Crazy.

Yeah, that is sick. Good point about the gifs too. I remember when Lyoto was schooling everyone and there were some great gifs of him. The one of him actually slapping Rashad's punch down as it is coming at him, and quickly countering and flooring him is still one of my favorites.

Yeah Machida does that slap-cross a lot. I think the whole "divert the attack while counterstriking" is prevalent in TMA (Partially because it looks so good when doing demonstrations) but only world-class practicitioners like Lyoto can do at the UFC level in MMA, especially when they fight relatively predictable fighters.

Most fighers prefer to dodge, outrange or block strikes when counterstriking. Machida, of course, does this very well also. It's debatable whether the above strike would've even hit Machida had he not deflected it.

That's where his weird stance comes in I think. Most fighters control distance with their feet and the upper body goes with it, but he has that backwards/upright Shotokan type stance. Between that and his lunging attacks he creates such a weird distance for fighters to adapt to. Add in the speed and technique and it's just a nightmare for most fighters. I suppose it's also one of the reasons JJ was able to get through to him, he's got the reach and speed to negate a lot of that.
