Yeah you have to turn it off in the DLC options. I removed them earlier today cause I figured it'd be possible they'd just download automatically and it wasn't worth it, can turn the download on while the game is playing.Mine is at 79gig, and I'm assuming that is IB + High Res, but I don't see an option to disable the High Res portion. Is it there be default because I downloaded them for MHW? Can't use them due to not enough memory on vidcard, so this extra 48gig is pointless.
I know myself and Brahma have been enjoying our ultrawides on this. Cutscenes are still 16:9 but those are whatever.I'm still a bit on the fence too, but knowing that there's mods to shortcut some of the stuff that ended up making me quit playing the game on PS4 definitely has me leaning towards making the switch now that I have a PC that should be able to run it at well over 60fps and I've read that Capcom put in proper ultrawide support after much complaining from the playerbase.
I was a bit concerned about Iceborne in general since I play entirely solo (aside from the shitty siege fights) but sounds like it's still as viable as before.
Yep, just found it. Download is at 40g, ty.Yeah you have to turn it off in the DLC options. I removed them earlier today cause I figured it'd be possible they'd just download automatically and it wasn't worth it, can turn the download on while the game is playing.
Godspeed Hunters! mkopec better get in there!
Not sure if I'll dive into this on PC. But considering it.
48gig of that is high res textures, if you don't NEED them immediately, disable them so you only need to download 40g. Properties / DLC / High Res Pack (uncheck).I got the game first on PS4. Loved it. Then got it on PC to see if it was a lot better. It was. Got Iceborne on PS4, loved the expansion but just stopped playing. The console version is so inferior to the PC version it is like a different game. 60fps makes a huge difference, but the big thing is the loading times. Near instant on PC, while on PS4 (pro) they feel like playing Bloodborne when it launched. On the PC, you can activate a quest, travel, load in and start running around before the PS4 has allowed you to leave for the quest.
80 gb download now though makes me sad since that will take me over 3 hours I need faster internet.

Controller here, most use MKB though.PS4 Pro with SSD really isn't that bad. But 60FPS does sound good. I'll see if I can get all of it fairly cheaply when I get home. Do you nerds use like an Xbox controller to play or MKB?
Both work great. I prefer the KB "radial" menus but not sure if I can pull off controller + KB so just stick with mouse.PS4 Pro with SSD really isn't that bad. But 60FPS does sound good. Seems to me the ideal would be to use controller but have KB hotkeys for whatever bullshit you want on your radial menu. Especially for shit like crafting ammo mid fight.
