i've seen it mentioned here a few times and definitely the usual review videos on youtube have theorized about moon knight in the greater MCU (midnight sons being a big one) but i just wanted to make sure everyone knows that oscar isaac's contract is ONLY for one season of moon knight. i don't know who's idea that was or the reasoning, but there isn't going to be a season 2 (moon knight is a "limited series" just like hawkeye). the future will tell, obviously, if oscar isaac signs another contract in the future, and does one of those spider-man in civil war deals, but i think it's fair to assume that moon knight won't be showing up in the MCU any more.

It could just be more theorizing, but I believe he was asked about this and he said he really enjoyed filming this and the reason for the 1 season only contract was he didnt want to just be shoveled out over and over for minor cameos and stuff. He wants his appearances to be meaningful. Also he did not like working for Disney at all, especially after Rise of Skywalker, so he was being more cautious with this contract.

All in all, he sounds more than willing to do more, he just didnt want to be forced to if he was correct to never work with Disney again, even if it was Marvel-Disney and not Star Wars-Disney.

Aaaaaand it's shit. Bait and switch is complete: "Moon Layla and Beta Knight". Same shit as Loki it looks like (only watched reviews of that, 5x more fun than woke dumpsterfire).
If I cared about Marvel*.* I'd tell them to eat shit and die or something, but I don't. Zero sum, the outcome was expected.

Still haven't seen the last 2 episodes, but when they introduced his wife I figured she would soon be running the show. I'll give it a rip tonight but yeah I'll be out as well if it turns into woke girl power "anything a man can do I can do better" bs.

it doesn't. she is more capable than steven grant, but all he's good for is big brainy stuff. so i guess if your scared of capable women, then that might be an issue for you

Holy crap that was a good episode... and right off the back of such a snoozer (ep 3).

That transition when he was shot, fell into darkness, and dissolves into the flashlight:

Oscar Isaac's acting is so on point too.

Nah, Alien/s with Ripley and the Terminators with Sara Connor were some of my favorite movies and heroines. They were gritty badasses with great stories to them, not Mary Sues tossing around hordes of 300 lb men because ovaries and men bad. I'm not anti-woman, just anti some of their silly portrayals by Hollywood, especially lately (looking at you Star Wars). It sounds like I'll be just fine with the portrayal will give it a rip tonight.

yeah great episode its weird how the previous episode was so badly paced and scripted, makes me wonder what happened there behind the scenes. The shit going down at the end of this episode was fantastic and I have absolutely no clue what is going on. The undead guardians could definitely have been done better and shown more brutality, oh well.

I really, really hope we get a flashback scene of Alexander interacting with his Avatar. Some great history there

I would liken Layla more akin to Lara Croft...She knows her shit and can handle herself by usually out witting her opponent.

Nice to see Legion season 4. I missed that show.

Much better episode. The only thing that bugged me was a chase scene. Layla runs out of the room with the Mummy like creature 4-5 seconds behind. Next scene she comes up to a pit. She stands looking around for a bit. She then throws a flare to see how far down the pit is. Why did the mummy not catch up? Its a small thing but they really could have done that part better than having the mummy hide out behind a wall.

Best part was the end.

and I get flash backs to a show I watched as a kid in the 70's.....New Zoo Revue.

Yeah, she is written as an Indiana Jones type in the comics.

Didn't it turn around after Steven when he pushed that table over on top of the recently mummied dude?

He and I would be in the corner solving all the world's problems while you and yours fought over who gets to try to rail the fat chick.

Legion knockoff, absurd girl power levels, and padding out the 'Yeah, I was busy getting killed when your Dad died, sorry' conversation? Giant meh.

Well that was unexpected. I like the episode, everything inside the tomb was pretty well done and tense. I dislike Steven more as the shows goes on though, even though he realizes that Marc might be better suited for some things like keeping Layla safe, he refuses to relinquish control of the body. He feels pretty selfish, but then I guess that’s what they are working on getting Marc and Steven to work together and use each other’s skills as the situation demands.
