I was always a 5 win average guy with draft and I’ve shat the bed so hard in these last 2 sets.

can’t tell if I’m just getting unlucky or turned retarded, but I’m getting so many 1 win drafts with decks I feel like should go all the way. I am super salty, but still grateful I enjoy drafting, despite apparently sucking balls.

The last format was stupid. I looked at it and didn't play it once.

This format is very skill-testing. The drafting portion is difficult and actually playing the games has a ton of decisions as far as sequencing, mana usage, and making the correct attacks. I have made a few very dumb misplays that cost me games and I've seen my opponents misplay and allow me to win many times, just due to the complexity of the boardstates and sequences.

Generally the number of decisions you have to make means the number of possible chances to make mistakes.

It's hard for me to get all "oh noez the Pinkertons!" when the company I work for uses them for normal investigations, as well. Many, many large companies do.

They could have just sent him a standard Cease and Desist to take down his YouTube vids. Pinkertons knocking on his door early in the morning is definitely overkill.

Sure, but they wanted the physical product to see where it came from. Here's what happened. They called up the Pinkies asking them to track down who this guy is. They did. WOTC goes cool, but now we need to collect the product. Pinkies go "We got this shit, for a small fee" and WOTC went "hey, easy solution!".

People are acting like this is malicious but I honestly think it's just WOTC once again being dumb and not understanding the optics.

I'm not sure if there's much a difference between "malicious" and "being so dumb that you send thugs to someone's house at dawn to threaten legal action even tho it wasn't their mistake"

Being dumb and powerful can be malicious even if unintentionally....

So you think they WOTC said "Knock on his door at dawn and threaten legal action!"

I mean, ok, if that's what you think.

You think you're only responsible for your actions if you intended those actions to have the consequences they had?

I think some of you are so butthurt you're going to go after WOTC no matter what they do. Have at it, I simply don't care enough about them "raiding some poor guy" or whatever nonsense you're peddling.

No, they hired people who are known for doing that because they wanted them to do that.

WotC isn't going to fuck you.

Made the best possible City on Fire deck and still didn't bother casting City on Fire any time I drew it even when I had plenty of creatures to convoke it. Lesson: Don't bother with City on Fire.

2-3 major disappointment. Lost to misplays more than bad deck construction. This is very close to the dream 60-card Yorion companion draft deck and didn't get there.

Michael Jacobs has been practice drafting for the PT for the last week and has been successful with the same types of decks you have been posting. Seems like a fun set.
