I'm not sure that it's a dramatically better option than Destructive Revelry for standard with all the enchantment love in Origins, but who knows.

I've played since revised, 6 nr dci, always played lands in front.

I play show & tell and lands mostly, so not like it matters much.

Still pretty unhappy, just used to it. Sorry to hear you mad on a forum though, noone was ever bothered by it IRL to the point where they mentioned it.
Lands in front has always has been a great indicator of douche behavior, it rarely fails.

Yeah there is literally no reason to do it other than special snowflake, you want creatures near creatures for blocking clarity. I heard something about people with super complicated lands... no they are not...

Apparently any magic player who is a convicted felon needs to make damn sure they never end up on camera at a magic event.

I have been doing it recently and no clue why. I hadn't really played since 1998 and maybe we did it like that back then? It might also be due to me relearning so I keep my creatures close so I can read their abilities easier.

Yeah if that is the reason they banned him it is utter bullshit through and through.

He served his time... for a plea deal he was likely pressured into, for a crime he committed when he was 18.

Even I think this is bullshit. Being a registered sex offender has never been a disqualification for having a DCI number before from what I am aware.

Everyone did lands in front when we started playing. I switched a long time ago and never really looked back. Shoving dudes into the red zone makes for lot clearer attack steps.

I think it's a pretty bullshit thing to do at this point and with no explanation Mist but

for a plea deal he was likely pressured into
maybe that RedPill is rubbing off on you?

I just know how plea deals work. Like 98% of cases are settled with plea deals.

Obviously the best way for Wizards to bypass all the PR mess is to just put up an article confirming Zendikar Fetches and Serum Visions in Battle for Zendikar.

My shop is doing 11/12 for prerelease and 17 for launch. This is my first prerelease and I am excited to play.

Anything I need to know ahead of time? I need to read up on this seeded pack thing.

Prerelease decks tend to have much stronger card pools on average to normal sealed decks due to the nature of seeded packs. Play multiple events if you can to get a chance to play with different pools. Mostly though realize that it's a prerelease not the Pro Tour and just relax and enjoy it.

There's nothing to read. Just open the cards and play. Prereleases are incredibly casual and you won't be the only new player in the room.

If you're in it for the long haul, push any expensive card you can the first night. Prices almost always go down, so your chances of losing money on the next chase rare are minimal. At the end of the night, swap anything you pull that has a high ($10+) value for something from an earlier set that's stable. Fetch lands are a good pick right now, because you'll use them a lot.

I think I have a play set of every fetch land legal in standard.

Yeah I am going to be dumping expensive cards quick.

Yeah playing every event I can.

They're doing the packs differently this time. You get 6 normal packs, and then 7 cards of your chosen color. So your "seed" shouldn't have as big of an impact as it did the last year or two. And thank god we're back up to 6 real packs. Being basically guaranteed to get a worthless shit rare in your 6th pack thanks to the seeded pack was... neat.

Well it was worthless cashwise, but almost always a powerful limited rare. Seven extra cards of a single color still means that decks will be more powerful.

Remember if you don't max the value of your hobby like some sort of mini-corporate raider you aren't doing it right. Pre-release will be full of casuals so rape their faces and laugh all the way to the bank.

Agree 100%. Fun is for pussies, get that value.

Unfortunately, I am not being sarcastic here. In my defense, the only hobbies I can afford to have are income-generating hobbies.
