I don't seek to encourage J's behavior, trust me. I know that it is an obvious strategy for indulgent ruin. But I also know that some people will find ruin no matter what. Some people seek ruin because they do not see it as such.

You see, in my view, we're all ants on a piece of rock hurtling through space. In the grand scheme of things his actions are insignificant.

Your criticism of him and, to be fair, my criticism of you is like one ant telling another ant they're wrong.

I actually agree with you but I would argue that the meaning of those ants lives is determined by the ants themselves, not by us as outside observers. Not by any outsiders what so ever. Even if 'we' were placed here by a grandiose God wielding an cosmic eye dropper as he carefully deposits the 'human virus' on the rock known as Sol III, the meaning of our lives is STILL not determined by anyone other than ourselves.

So if an ant on a rock is going to be an ant on a rock, he should be the best ant on a rock that he can be. The dishonest and generally 'non-golden-rule' nature of J's actions are what make him a bad ant.

How is he responsible for the actions of other people?
