Jordan gambling suspension makes 100% sense. Why would an ultra competitive player at the peak of his career coming off a three peat suddenly retire? Especially since he came back multiple times played way past his prime made a fool of himself in Washington and still wants to play at 50.

No way the first time was a legit retirement. Doesn't make any sense given his personality and how quickly he came back and how long he kept playing.

Because the way the NBA did it helped everyone involved. It gave Jordan a reality check. It made the NBA and Jordan money hand over fist when he decided to come out of retirement and it kept Jordan from harming himself anymore than he already was.
