And you think LBJ is going to the Clippers next year? Yes, he will have a much easier time playing the Warriors, Trail Blazers and Sun four times a season. Not to mention more series against OKC, Houston, Memphis. I'm a big time LBJ fan boy too, but your unabashed love for him causes so much blindness it's silly.
LBJ on the Clippers instantly makes them the #1 team. Even if they have to trade Griffin to do the deal. Well, lets be honest, LBJ on almost any team makes them the best. I personally think LeBron is going to take less money so he can go wherever he wants salary cap numbers be damned.

LBJ is known for passing up late game opportunities. He just doesn't have the mindset like Kobe and Jordan did where he wants the last shot. I think KD and Melo are better scorers and welcome clutch moments.
You're an idiot. Makes sense that you're a Pacers fan. LBJ is as clutch as it gets, assbag. Did you miss the playoffs the last two years? If the NBA didn't feel sorry for the Pacers and want them to have the #1 seed in hopes that they make the ECF and make it interesting so they have nice ratings you wouldn't even be posting right now because West's blatant travel would've been called and your beloved Pacers would've lost, LBJ's clutch gene be damned. What you should do is STFU and take your NBA granted win with a smile on your face and hold onto how it felt last night because in a couple months you're going to be crying yourself to sleep again while LBJ hosts another trophy.

I think KD and Melo are better scorers
Me too, I guess it's too bad they're nowhere near as good all-around. How many rings do those guys got to go along with their scoring titles?

Gaige's rage aside, LeBron truly is the most clutch player in the NBA and he has been most of his career.

I just realized that faggot Pacer's fan probably doesn't even know what a real clutch step back non-travel game winning 3 looks like. You're welcome from LBJ and I.

Kobe is actually a pretty bad clutch shooter - you remember a couple big ones in the playoffs but overall he's barely above league average shooting % in clutch situations. Chauncy Billups is another bad one that people think is amazing clutch player because of 1 big shot.

If I remember the article from 82games from 2010 that went through all the stats - Melo, LeBron, Dirk were the top guys in clutch situations (trailing or tied in last 30 seconds of game I think is the criteria). Melo was well ahead of everyone else.

Need a new study for the last 3 years with a bigger sample size of KD stats.

Wade's D in his prime far surpassed Ellis. Also, Wade is a far more efficient scorer, even with Ellis having a good year.
I did say a poor man's Wade. The fact that their career lines are so similar, though, reinforces my point that Wade has been overrated. He is much better on his 2s than Ellis. Someone would need to point me to some advanced metrics for the defensive stuff, though.

I've posted this article like 14 times over the course of FoH and here but it's pretty telling. Only goes to 2012, so we're missing a bit of data, but it gets the point across.

A Statistical Analysis Of Clutch NBA Shooters Since 2000 - Liberty Ballers

Kobe has had a lot of national TV situations to have his made end of game shots known to the public. And he's also got a whole decade of the 00s that any shot is going to be shown on Sportscenter. Give a dude enough of a volume of shots and he's bound to make some. Also, unless it's a playoff game, no one remembers missed shots.

LeBron had a media reputation early in his career of shying away from clutch moments. I remember one moment in particular with the Cavs where he passed to a wide open Sasha Pavlovic who missed and the media went crazy about it. There really isn't much statistical backing to those claims though. Like none at all.

What's your point? That Heat team doesn't resemble the past two teams at all. Also first year together. Mike Bibby? No thanks. Those Mavs though, how did they fare the next year when they were defending their title? I forget? Did they defend it and win back to back? Or... oh, nevermind, I remember now.

You seem extremely upset. Much too upset for it being a meaningless regular season game. Hopefully the Heat can manage to get past the Nets or Bulls in the playoffs. It will be fun watching you piss and moan about each call against the Heat if they play the Pacers.

Just admit you were wrong about LeBron not being clutch.

That depends what the criteria for clutch is. If you narrow it down too much, the sample size is just too small to mean anything. If you widen it to 'points in the fourth quarter' didn't James just had a stretch of like 5 games where he scored 8 points in these five fourth quarters combined?

At some point everyone on this forum will have read that and I can quit having to link it.

From your article.

LeBron is obviously in a major clutch slump right now, but it happens to every player, because the sample sizes are so small every year. The statistics indicate he will bounce back at some point.
If being the "best closer" means "converting shots at a fairly average rate in any and all 'clutch' situations since 2000", Kobe Bryant is clearly the best.

LOL you're such an idiot. I'll be glad when the Pacers flame out in the second round.
