The Warriors are killing it. I'm loving watching them right now. Warriors were down 16 to the Heat midway through the 2nd. Ended up winning by 17. Steph Curry is playing the best ball of his career right now.
Wish Bogut hadn't gotten hurt a couple of years ago. He is an awesome passer but it's like he's one armed on offense now.

Wonder when I'll not see the phrase "Derrick Rose exits game with X". Jesus Christ.
He got benched. Thibs isn't going to put up with this weak willed crap. I don't know if he just fell out of love with the game while he was out the last two year, or he is terrified of getting another injury. I mean he played for like ten (?) Minutes and claimed fatigue in the post game conference. If I was Jimmy butler I would be so pissed at rose for making that excuse with the way butler is leaving it all out there every night.

I've been a Dubs fan for 25+ years now... I have to pinch myself to make sure this is real. Yes, it's only the beginning of the season, but they are playing so well on both ends. On top of the league in offensive FG% AND defensive FG%. Their FG% differential is 8.3% and the next closest team is like 4%. Pretty much everything I was hoping would happen when they dumped Jackson for Kerr is happening. Green is starting, Barnes is contributing again, and Bogut is being used as a key cog in the offense. Beautiful. I'm gonna be really greedy and hope that their best ball is still ahead considering they've only been running this offense for a couple months now or whatever.

My hope is that OKC sees what's going on in Golden State and realizes they can fire a coach from a playoff team and improve.

I've given up hope on that.

I still affirm that Presti's worst move as a GM was re-signing Brooks - a coach who could never figure out how to implement 3 stars at the same time. Shit snowballed.

I really love Steph, but his production right now is at such an insane level. He's great, but I can't imagine him keeping up this level of play all season.

Curry has pretty much just been doing what he's done the last couple years. It's not about him, it's about actually having an offense where the ball moves, which they didn't have under Jackson. Yes obviously Curry is the key cog in the offense, but the improvement over last season is stemming from more ball movement and player movement, not from Curry playing above and beyond his usual. Replacing Lee with Green in the starting lineup (a move that was thankfully made a no brainer by Lee's injury but which I was in favor of since the end of last season) has been big as well. Green's improved 3-pt. shooting is helping to space the floor all that much more. That plus the major improvement in D that he brings over Lee has helped to take the starting lineup from good to stellar. When Lee comes back I'm hoping he'll be good with sliding into a 6th / 7th man role and being the main scorer off the bench.

It's very unlikely that Steph continues shooting the best % of his career while pulling down 6 boards, getting to the line more than he ever has before and hitting a career high on assist %. All the while with leading his team in usage. Through 14 games he's the MVP of the league and no one else is even close. It isn't possible for him to keep that up.

All those stats you listed are only marginally better than he's done before. Yes, his 2-pt % is a few points higher than ever but his 3-pt % is pretty much on par with the norm. You say he's getting to the line more than ever... 0.1 more attempts than he averaged last season! Nothing he's doing right now is unsustainable. The question is whether some of the other guys that are playing better than ever can sustain their play or whether Kerr's offense just makes that much difference over Jackson's noffense.

Barnes' FG% is 10 points higher than his career avg. right now. I was expecting it to come up some this season but he won't sustain 55% on 2's and 42% on 3's. Speights on the other hand has been around long enough that you think you'd know what he is by now right? Dude is a career 48% shooter (more like 45% the few prior seasons), but he's shooting 60% this season and scoring at a crazy rate. If anybody falls off on the team I don't think it'll be Curry, but guys like that who are far and away having career seasons in the early going.

This will just have to be one of those wait and see arguments like the 24/13/4 AD stat line one with Gilg. If Steph continues the same production he's had through 14 games the rest of the season he'll have put up a historic level season.

Its the law of conservation of stats. Stats can neither be created or destroyed, only transferred. With no Durant playing, Curry absorbs all his stats.

Only 4 1/2 out of the playoffs. Bad news West, the Thunder are making it.

Here's hoping for the 8 seed so that we can play San Antonio before Scotty Brooks has made KD and Westbrook play 40 minutes for 13-14 games. Then OKC will coast to the finals. COAST.
