As a fan of almost all things Cincinnati - and the constant letdowns that brings - I'm glad I can stand by the classic adage of "at least we're not Cleveland". It's really all Cincinnati has going for it in the sports world.

I just look at it as it's Ohio, outside of LeBron there isn't a line of superstars waiting to go there. Love just swooping in to grab what he thought was an instant title before heading off to a prime destination....maybe L.A., regardless of the reasons, here is LeBron carrying another Cavs team to the finals only to lose most likely. He'll be 2 and 4 so we can finally put to rest the who is the GOAT.

In Cleveland pretty much, or maybe you believe that you could swap out LeBron with any other player and the Cavs would be where they are. He leads the team in almost every stat that matters, you should put down the crack pipe and realize it's LeBron and some other dudes right now just like before he went to Miami.

Your posts aren't making much sense. On one hand you say being 2-4 ensures that he isn't the GOAT and then you post about him leading another one of the worst finals teams in history...to the finals again. I don't think he's the GOAT but he's pretty damn good. This Cavs team is horrendous now. I look at all that talent under Kerr, and I actually feel bad for Lebron. I think the full strength Cavs had about a 50% chance to win this if healthy. Now...should be an easy sweep.

You really believe that? I'd put it 60/40 him leaving at best. Why would he stay? Shit market, team was better without him, coach doesn't cater to his strengths, they are about to max a guy who plays his position(TT).

Why would he leave? He has the best odds of winning a ring next season as a Cavalier. Plus, I saw the Lakers name getting thrown around, if he went to LA they're rebuilding in a very tough western conference. Also, Unless the Lakers make some huge moves over the summer they won't be contenders for years at least.

Shit market
Wat? The Cavs are a shit market? The Cavs have Lebron James. Was this an attempt at a Cleveland bash?

team was better without him
Ehh too small of a sample size to say that, imo. Remember, after Jan 15th the Cavs had the best record in the league... with Love at the 4.

coach doesn't cater to his strengths
While I agree to some extent it also has a lot to do with these guys just having only 1 season together. I can't imagine he would want to bail on this fact alone.

I don't see him leaving for this upcoming season. He played much better and adapted much more (which, to be honest, was 100% based on LBJ and not Blatt) as the season progressed. Though I will say I have to agree that the team seems to be much better with him in either a sixth man role or playing as a traditional four but we'll see what happens there.

I still think the Cavs were ridiculous to give up what they gave up for (basically) a one year rental without a longer sheet. I think Wiggins with LeBron, Thompson and Irving (not to mention Varejo when he returns) would have been a much better setup but I know that's debatable. Regardless, I don't see him leaving at this time. He wants to win and his chance at winning is certainly with the Cavs. It's not like the Warriors, Grizzlies or Clippers will be pulling him in.

Tristen Thompson is about to get a max contract? LOL

I don't know what Love is going to do. He's a total prima donna and I'm sure would prefer to be in a situation where he's the top guy. But this 'the Cavs play better without him' thing just isn't based in reality. Love/Kyrie/LeBron was pretty much the top trio in the league from a production standpoint during the regular season. Even poorly utilized, his skill set just opens up that offense a ton.

Anyway, love that Blatt's game plan with Kyrie out is just to play 7 players instead of 8. That guy just looks more and more clueless with how he manages a basketball game.

As the local Cavs homer I couldn't agree more. There's no doubt this was all Lebron and him wanting to win now.

I'll be really surprised if the Cavs can keep this together here.

You're right...we all forgot about that. And we all know that never in the history of sports has a player publicly stated he wants to stay with a team before contract negotiations, then left for another team.

Yes. The "Kevin Love is leaving" narrative is so tired at this point. But it's a nice way to figure out who watches the NBA and who watches First Take highlights.

I think it's probably more likely they keep love, but what he says during this season doesn't really matter. What's he supposed to do? Tell his entire team he's leaving after this year?
